Medical Marijuana, Inc., Formerly Club Vivanet (PINKSHEETS: CVIV), Today Announced That It Is the First Public Company to Enter the Legalized, Medical Marijuana Business and Has Changed Its Name to Medical Marijuana, Inc.

Name Change and Pending Forward Split
Club Vivanet, Inc. changed its name to Medical Marijuana, Inc. with the State of Oregon on March 24, 2009, and has resolved to forward split its shares 10 for 1 effective upon NASDAQ changing the company's symbol from CVIV to reflect the name change and forward split. CUSIP has already changed the CUSIP number to 38463A105 to reflect the name change and forward split and the company is anticipating receiving the new symbol effecting the name change and forward split within the month of April.
Pending Spin Offs
In conjunction with the name change, the company is spinning off two subsidiaries on a share for share basis (pre 10 for 1 forward split) of the shares of Club Vivanet, Inc. (a Florida corporation) and MyNewPedia Corp (a Colorado Corporation). While the company has set April 3, 2009 as the record and effective dates, NASDAQ is responsible for establishing an ex-dividend date and up to that date; shareholders and those that buy and hold till the ex-dividend date will be entitled to the forward split and to receive the spin off shares. The spin off shares will be restricted until the subsidiaries register those shares with the SEC or there is an exemption from registration made available.
Change in Management
Furthermore, as a part of these corporate actions, Bruce Perlowin has accepted to serve as the company's new Chairman and CEO, replacing Don Steinberg. Don Steinberg's resignation will become effective on the 2nd of April but he will continue to run and operate Club Vivanet, Inc. (a Florida Corporation). Charles Larsen has accepted to serve as President of the company and Jim Hancock is simultaneously resigning on April 2nd, 2009, yet Jim will also continue to serve as an officer of Club Vivanet, Inc. (a Florida corporation).

i bought some shares in this on etrade after i read this. price is going up and down too much for my taste. i may have to sell soon. it went from like 60 cents to like 20 in 2 day, and i bought at 60. any news thats going to make this shit go back up????????

you have to understand the way stocks work. which is not my specialty either. but, this is a long term investment unless you have millions to play with in day trading. your ultimate goal is to hope the company product does well and the stock goes up past 1.60. before you invested you should have decided how long you wanted to hold onto the stock for and how much risk and time you were willing to invest into it. when it gets to that point you are satisfied with, then do your roll.

I mean thing is i know about stocks and bonds and everything. I mostly buy stocks that are like 10-20 cents each and hold on to them for about a month. Now given i do buy about 3 grand worth at a time so when people see this they say holy shit something must be going on. 9 times out of 10 i walk away with a good amount of money. And im holding onto these i was just drunk last night and talkin shit lol. But I seriously think this company is going to be huge so even if i lose i didnt lose that much. so im holding onto it for now unless they just go completely bankrupt. im also telling others about it so maybe prices will go up if i can get enough people to buy. regardless of a profit i dont mind just saying i own stock in a company that sells medical weed lol

Basically you are buying a portion of the company. IF the company does well you profit from the stock, if it does poorly you lose money. Not to say you have any say so or rights in the company unless you can somehow manage to purchase 51% or so of the shares in the company, considering there could be a billion shares you would need around 500 million at todays price to be able to do this. And I do not believe the company is worth that. But its pretty much just an investment. Go to etrade.com and you can buy the stock, i think the symbol is MJNA. I bought around 200 shares so far.

What does the company do?

Since you guys won't admit it up front, allow me...

This company is selling a process to collect taxes for the state. It is a TAX COLLECTOR FOR THE STATE. IT IS AN ARM OF THE GOVERNMENT in that sense.

Congratulations revenuer. You will be burdening ailing and injured people even further by taking money out of their pockets and handing it over to the state.....for a fee no less.

Yes, indeed it IS something to be ashamed of (unless you are bereft of compassion for an already burdened segment of our population? ). Cali charges the AILING AND INJURED too much for meds as it is and you want to compound that burden on them.

IF a company, ANY company, can't comply with state financial responsibilities on their own (as they have been for THIRTEEN YEARS without your company) then they should fail and possibly go to prison for shirking their tax liabilities but that is certainly up to them to decide that....not have an external entity come in and force them to do it (FOR THE STATE).

once again i repeat, i think you are lost. and im sorry if you dont understand a company starting from scratch to create a product or service, whether you feel its valid or not, to offer to businesses and people who wish to use it.

quite a few dispensaries all over are not paying their taxes correctly and you will start to see the results more and more with continued DEA raids.

i dont care for your personal belief on taxes and what not, and if you like the product or not. thats what you are trying to get me to play into. you arent trying to learn about the service, you just want to bash it, and drag people into a rotten fight. im not into that. business is business. if you dont like the prices of medicine open a spot yourself and sell for the correct price you feel it should be and then use your own accountant and have multiple banks create accounts for you to service your customers and struggle to create a gift and rewards system for them also. all this is included in MMI's package. Nicely wrapped in a bow for you. And whether or not you care about tax income or not and your "conservative" views prevent you from understanding this system, then you have to admit a product is a product, and a service is a service and when people pay or dont pay for it, that decides its worth. i think because you dont have the capital or the nerve we will say, to start something like this, or offer a product of any kid, i think the only thing you can do is try to rip it apart.

i could be wrong, but i doubt it. the only reason why you are being such a pain about it is because your a tax warrior, and you feel anything involved with organization and gov is bad. sad to say to yah, the world turns on business and industry. and free is never free. i wish more than anybody actual meds were 50 dollars for an ounce, but its not.
