All i am trying to say is, If it looks like something, and then after you research it you find out that it is exactly what it looks like, NOT a scam. the only reasoning you can find to claim otherwise is because its not backed by a major organization and because a humor hot line owns it. WOW a hot line owner owns a hot line that sounds fishy to me!

the length of time you have been here has nothing to do with anything.

in the end, if you actually are intent on being "pro active" there are A LOT more and better ways to go about helping to get cannabis legalized.

donating money to norml, safer, mpp, dpa, or any other pro marijuana organization out there will do much much more than calling that number.

Actually, I don't think it is a scam. Has anyone been scammed for certain? I didn't think so. It is just a telephone poll that can then be used as a petition. I've had friends that I haven't heard from in years call me to give me this number. Some people just don't use common judgment and do a little research. it took me 2 min. to find out I did not want to call this number.

I've used the number. I researched the number first - just by googling "legalize marijuana line 973" it pulls up a few websites that have confirmed that the spread of the number has been twisted and many says its a scam but its actually not. Here is a site that confirmed this (on top of the other one I see already posted previously by someone else):

But yeh I called this number and just records your vote after you hit pound and says to spread the word.

its a bs number. Nothing has changed. In fact, the new rumor is that Obama was gonna be on CNN yesterday, or tonight, or tomorrow and he wants a million people to call and he will legalize marijuana. Please dont be gullible and un-educated like a lot of people who dont smoke think we are. Its offensive to me this number is still going around. Shows how lazy people really are with reform, and doing something they take advantage of. Until you are busted with pot i dont think most realize how much they take advantage of just being able to toke up most of the time without worry.

It is a PROMO campaign that has worked WONDERS for this company. They MIGHT turn over the numbers, and come on...Do you really think a bunch of phone numbers mean anything to the President? Petitions? Signatures, and all that jazz just went out the window? And all the other pressure from other angles like what MPP or NORML does, they should have just created a phone number for people to call right? Its amazing this Humor Hotline company is gonna legalize pot where we have all failed up till now.... I dont mean to sound like anything, but you guys have to think more about how the system works.

Im sorry, but if you think this number is gonna legalize pot or do anything besides pass the name Marijuana around for a Humor Hotline company then you need to do a little more research and sepnd a little more time on concentrating on proper and positive marijuana reform.

I haven't smoked weed in a long while, but I definitely support the cause and I'm totally pro legalization. I got the text the other night from a friend who's in the same position as myself and I called the number. I pressed pound and ended the call.

I was on my way to posting this on my online network page and soon to spam text all my pro pot friends but prior to doing so I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting anyone in to a shit hole.

I found plenty of pages saying this was a scam, and I also found the page xxxjussblaze posted prior to coming to this page. The string released prior to the page he's forwarded everyone to is functional, at this time the link he provided is over loaded.

Marijuana Phone Poll NOT a Scam, Just Confusing | Show Me the Facts currently overloaded

I contacted my cellular provider earlier today and I haven't been charged for anything. I currently use ATT with no extraordinary coverages.

I wanted to add my piece because xxxjussblaze is getting a lot of flack because he's the only one defending his argument. I don't know much else because the page that should hold all of the explanation is overloaded but I do know I haven't been charged for anything.

I don't care who calls the number, but I haven't received any malicious consequences since calling it a few days ago so I don't see the problem with calling it. I hope my input can help, I likely won't be back to check how this string is going.

I am willin to bet that these "supporters" are all the same person...Why even go to deffend urself against how long u been here unless u have been exposed somwhere else.Stay of our boards scammer......................
