i have a 60watt bulb and the temperature registers at 80F. JUST wondering wether you could use a mini heater to bump the temperature up. just wondering if it would work.

Your temperature is fine, if a little high. The lamp though, is it a fluorescent? If it's a regular incandescent isn't going to do what you want it too. Rather than a heater, a little fan is always a good idea in an enclosure.
