Stoner Buck$$: 179.95 | Need help getting circulation DESIGN going
The growing is going on in my dresser, I need help on getting the circulation design going..like what should I do? do i need to buy anything? or is it possible they will still make it without a fan and I just open the drawers up at night while i'm asleep, i've already got kinda a fan..it's one of those regular box type fans i just cut the blades down shorter and screwed it into the inside of the top drawer, the little plants move around some, not much though.
All help is greatly appriciated.
And if you need to see pictures of the dresser and all, just say so.

If you're just using the fan for agitation, it doesn't need to be gale force winds. Just a continuous breeze is fine. If you're trying to pull heat out, you'll want the exhaust air going out of the upper portion of the enclosure and the intake air coming in from as low as possible. Also, if you do put in an exhaust fan and cut air inlets, don't forget the light traps.

The light.
Other plant. kinda skinny like me.

If you're trying to move air out of the box you'll want to put an axial fan at at the top of the enclosure and perforate it somewhere on the bottom to allow air in. An axial fan is a computer type fan, they're not really expensive and can be had in line or low voltage. The little skinny plant there looks like it's stretching, you should see if you can get the lighting closer to the plant.
Here's an axial fan:

Unfortunately I don't use any instant messenger any more. I still have accounts, just don't use them. The fan you're looking for could be found at just about any radio shack type establishment. You can use a computer power supply for the low voltage units or wire it directly to your fixture with a high voltage fan (120/115v in the U.S.) household line voltage. If you're not familiar with wiring, please don't do it. Not saying anything about your skill or abilities, just want everyone to stay safe.

Just pulled it from an XBOX, lol.
That'll work right? and I want this fan to blow air OUT, correct?
should it be at the top or at the bottom near the dresser?

You want the fan as far up in the dresser as possible to pull the heat which rises out of there.

That's right. Say you put the fan on the top right corner of the right side, you want the air inlet to be in the lower left, this way the air crosses the entire enclosure before it exits, removing the most heat. Just like all things, the air will take the path of least resistance, if you put the fan directly above the inlet, on the same side for example, the air will go straight up and out that fan. That's why you put it diagonally from the inlet, opposite side. This way all the air has to pass through the entire enclosure before exiting and cools your veggies appropriately.

Your fans should be fine on the same side. As long as your air inlet is on the opposite side from the fan. Also do me a favor and go down to home depot and get some wire nuts to put those connections together. The tape does work but when an electrical connection isn't tight it can cause higher amp draw, which in turn causes heat, which can, worst case, cause a fire. Everything looks kosher, you would just be safer that way.

It's no problem. The more of us doing this safely and properly the more herb there will be and less of us getting found out.
