what ph meter do you use for soil growing? I've been using strips and it is getting old quick! And the Rapi test unit doesnt seem accurate at all.
I am looking for something decent but not real expensive. (yeah i know...pick one)

yeah it is called "Rapitest mini ph meter"
it sells for less than 10$ and the needle never seems to move. Ive tested the soil outside, my growing mix, and some peat moss and neither one gives a change on the little dial. So i assume it is junk.

i use the eutech intstruments "oakton" model. set me back 80 bucks, but checking ph is a snap.

just rinse when turning on/off, swirl around in the water for a few seconds and look at the digital readout. easy to calibrate as well.

The Hanna Checker 1 looks like a decent meter. It would be my choice for under 30 bucks new on ebay.

but the rapi test meter works..u might have gotten a bad 1... i use to use one way way way back when i did soil grows...tested it and the thing still works lmao...u want it?
