I need some experienced advice ... opinions ... which aluminum sheets are better to make HID grow light reflectors from? Alanod Miro 4 mirror-polished aluminum sheets (95% reflectivity), T5 fluoroescent reflectors are made with this. Or the Sun Sheets sold by Sunlight Supply, they are 95% Reflective German Aluminum, the same material used to make their reflectors, It's not smooth aluminum - it's like pebbled. But they're both 95%, ones smooth & ones not. I'm going to make some reflectors & need to get the most out of them. Maybe a mixture of both kinds would be good?

I personally would choose the pebbled. Only because I think it is less likely to cause heat spots or areas of intense magnification. Im sure opinions differ due to personal preference...

Go with pebbled...less heat spots like hs stated....non work too but the heat concerated on the plants seems hotter and burns...
