which colour is the right colour for the growth stage? i bought red and blue leds but not sure if that is right just need some info. and how much lumines dose a LED light give off?

prefect. no first timee using leds. and no im not using ufos i went out and bought leds not use what voltage did not cheak but i have clones in a container with blue on top cover. been in ther 2 days and lookin good still. Ill cheak the voltage tho im just experimenting.

I'm a little confused... Are you using off the shelf single leds wired together, or are you using the dedicated led grow lights or standard bulb replacement deals? If you're using off the shelf units like high intensity cree's or luxeon's (like what's in led flashlights) you're definitely going to need some resistance in your circuit. If not, they'll burn up in a matter of days or less, as leds have no internal resistance unlike standard bulbs. Some of those units have a built in resistor and some don't. Works basically the same way as a ballast in an HID system. I don't mean to patronize you if you already knew that. I just don't want to see you fry a bunch of uber expensive lights. Only reason I asked is you mentioned something about voltage.
