Alright so I did some CREATIVE thinking last night. and a sketch is coming along of my growbox. I will soon post it. I do however have a few questions.. There is a crack on the bottom end of where two corners meet in my closet. I think i am going to chip away a litttle basebord, and HOPEFULLY exhaust my hot air from my growbox there. This way, it's in the walls and will diffuse quick. I also have another idea, of having some plexi glass, across the cabinet, and keep the lights above the plexiglass trapping the heat there. This will help keep temps regulated and what not.
Now the hole where i would exhaust is slightly small, I plan on opening it up a little, but not much since i live in an apt. I would like some ideas of exhausting hot air out of my growbox. I would prefer not to use duct due to its size, but im slightly newb and I would like some help. I also plan on cutting to circular holes with computer fans mounter there for fresh air. I also plan on having a oscilating fan in the growcab. Is all this adding up? am I on the right track?

sounds like your on the right track, doing your research & thinking & rethinking.. one thing to keep in mind is you dont want any light leaking into the cabinet when your plants are sleeping(lights off)..if light gets in when its not suppose to it will cause all kinds of weird growth & possibly go hermie

I have a growbox.
1. NEVER route exhaust down; remember basic physics- heat rises. if you can chip a 5inch by 5inch hole somewhere up high and routing THREW the wall, not into it you should be ok.
2. NEVER use plexi-glass as a heat barrier; grow lights get hot, and the possibility of it melting the plexi glass, thus having it possibly LIGHT on FIRE! safety first, Glass is always welcome in my box as a heat barrier.
3. you shouldn't grow in your moms house without her knowledge & consent.

Well here are my responses.
#1. I really cant "chip" anything that big haha And how would i route it through a well? :/
#2. I figured that out after informating myself.
#3. Its not my moms house, I pay for the bills just as she does. ANd she knows, so therefor that problem is covered sir, : )
Edit* and my moms knowlege? funny you say that she goes " Why you doing all this complicated shit just to make 1 plant grow, People didn't use that shit back when I was young" haha

I agree with the above posters. Do not vent into the walls. You'll be putting lots of humidity in there and you'll get mold and rot problems eventually. You'll also have MJ odor coming out in places you don't expect...possibly even the neighbor's living room... Seriously bad.

what kinda lighting are you using? how big is the room? one plant in a bucket? just wondering these things can make huge diff in how you wanna go about even ventilation...also i agree with above...dont vent into wall u would be better venting into the connecting room if there were a small crack beneath the door...not sure exactly...
