ballast died. its sunday shops not open till tomorrrow. u think one-two nights dark will cause any probz this late n grow. i figure not, seein that sum folks actually deprivate light on purpose near the end of flower. just bummed. i promised my girls a way nicer ballast this time. one with a warranty of more than two years. so if i swear to return to the 12 hour regime only missing a day or 2 will i be smitten? ps hps ballasts smell like when u set the next doors neighbors poodle on fire when they die.

T-5 systems make great backups in these situations when they're not being used for small plants or as side sups...

wasnt a complete system. just a bad capacitor. 6 weeks nto flower. i am just replacing the whole ballast cause this is on its 4th gro. i use t12s 4 clones then move em to the 600 hps. one good thing is since i had this issue i gotta switch to a digital instead of magnetic 2 save electricity. just dookie that it happened on a sunday seein nothings open. now i replaced cap in old 600 so its my spare now. this is my first issue since i hadda horde of springtails a few yrs back. i shoulda hadda backup. blame it on the ah ah ah ah ah alcohol
xtra dark is ok. its when u break the12/12 cycle with xtra light, the ladies stress out. When i was young, and experimenting, i turned a huge female into a huge nothing just by turning a 40watt room light on during its dark time. what kind of ballast was it?
plants treat any length of darkness as one night so it doesn't matter if there is no light for a week or two as long as it's completely dark...they won't even wilt

i decided on the sunsystem galaxy. i had an old venture lighting that i have used successfully a few years. it was an outdoor magnetic that i had a fan trained on to keep it cool. outdoor ballasts have sum sorta fiberglass resin covering them so they get hot as nutz in case ur not familiar. but n e ways this galaxy seems 2 b running way smoother. i knew this night crap wouldnt do much i just needed reassurance thks folkz
