HIGH GUYS BIT OF A DILEMA.HAVE DISMANTLED GRO ROOM TO MOVE TO A NEW PREMISES.SET IT ALL UP INSULATED IT MYLARD IT IT LOOKS LUSH.BUT IM A LIGHT SHORT.NOW I HAVE A 250 WATT BALLAST AND A 600WATT BALLAST LEFT OVER . I ALSO HAVE A 400 WATT BULB AND CANOPY.I KNOW THE 250 ISNT ENOUGH TO TOTALLY BRIGHTEN THE BULB.IF I PUT THE 400 W LIGHT ON THE 600 BALLAST WILL IT KILL MY BULB ? THE THING IS I CANT RISK TESTING IT BECAUSE I AM SO REMOTE ITS A REAL HASSLE GETTING NEW KIT .SO I THROW IT OPEN TO YOU. THEN I WILL TRY. OR NOT CHEERS FOR LISTENING

If it was me, I sure wouldn't fry my 400 watt bulb hooked up to a 600 watt ballast....poof. A hundred bucks toasted....spend another hundred and get a 600 watt bulb.

CHEERS FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE TIM .I DO HAVE A 600 WT SPARE BULB AND CANOPY BUT ITS FOR MOTHER ROOM WHICH IS RELATIVLEY SMALL ONLY 3 20 LITRE POTS WIDE AND 6FT 8 HIGH .NEEDS TO BE A 400 REALLY THE HEAT WITH THE 600 IS SAUNA AWESOME.THANX FOR SAYING MY BULB WILL BLOW .I THOUGHT IT MIGHT .TIME TO SPEND SOME CASH ME THINKS. HAPPY HIGHS.

instead of fucking your bulb up and burning your stuff
i'd honestly get a new 600watt bulb to compliment your
ballast like the dude said above me.

id get the appropriate 600W bulb and air cooled hood and a duct fan and air cool the hood to control your temps
