Do any of you all think this light will grow a ganja plant? Its out put is 6200 lumens. click pic for a good view.

yeah probably. lumens is about right. is it hps or mh?

its not always the lumens. 6800 doesn't sound like a lot for a 300watt either. looks like a incadesent to me and those won't do much. when purchasing a light you want to know what spectrum of light or kelvins it is. I get somewhere round 78,000 lumens off one of my 400 watt hps! o and heat can you disapate the heat the light lets off?
and how big is the grow room i use roughly 4200 lumens or 65 watts Per square foot.good luck its one hell of a journey. o and on your first grow dont get your hopes to high just in case, it takes time and lots of patients specially when there budding i bet every grower would agree on that one.

May I ask you what brand of bulb your using that puts out 78,000 lumens from a 400 watt. Reason I'm asking is because the highest lumen output for a 400 watt I've ever seen is 55'000 lumen. And if they make on bigger than my 55,000 I want one..lol...take care..

nope. looks like a incandescent or halogen. they might start plants, but they'll start to look like crap and really really suffer if they even survive a week. Terrible reflector too. Just awful. It sucks to learn these things, but it's better to learn when you can still save the plants. you'll need at least some fluorescents. get as many lumens with as few bulbs as you can. (more bulbs=more heat). really look into buying a High Pressure Sodium Horticultural Light System if you are serious about growing things.

Yeah, I tried that about ten years ago, had to quit when it got about 12 inches. Hot spots appeared like the swine flu. But it is a good learning experience, you'll see hands on what that spectrum will do.

You need atleast a 4 foot shop light immediately especially if your low on cash they are like 10 buchs at Wally worlds...Good Luck
