hey, im 35/m and from northern ireland and i am tryin my hand at a little bit of home produce....
ive already picked up a few things such as indica seems to be a little bit easier indoor...
ive been havin a few probs with really getting seedlings off the mark and ive worked out that they stunted because the grow room had wood panel walls and this made it difficult to keep humidity up to the required level.
ive been using an old sauna room.
This is the only conclusion i have come to. Can any of you guys with a bit of experience let me know what you think?
humidity sitting between 30 & 50% even with a humidifier goin part of the day.
Hey there Herbivor!
Welcome aboard the stoner forums!!!!!
Very jealous that you are toking in Ireland... lets switch countries for a little while eh?!:P:P
You will find TONS of help here in the forums and from the other stoners. Just make your way over to the grow section of the boards and you will be all set
Your Humidity is in a good global range for veg, and flower, but...
Ideally with clones and starts, for a good success rate you need 95-100 percent humidity. For this, just grab from your local plant store, one of those green house things. Usually they have a black base with spots to fit the little starts in. Then covered with a plastic "lid"/top. Multiple times a day you wanna open the top for good air exchange, and use a spray bottle to spray the little guys constantly, and the clear lid, keeping the humidity up to a 95-100 percent range.
Ideally though: For veg stage, 60-70 percent humidity, and for flower, 40-60 percent humidity.
yeah thats how i started them and they were up about 4in in about 4 days but the probs started when i had to take them out of it cos they outgrew it.
they had their first set of proper leaves and everything...
I suggest using something at first like this AquariumGarden.com Aquarium Supplies: Filters, Fish Food, Plant Care, and more - Aquarium Products Plant Plug-Giant ... and when you can see the roots spring out of the sides then they are ready for real dirt. Dont hit them with a ton of light, and gradually introduce the potted plants to more intense light. Any more than that i need more details. Root or stem rot is easy to do by overwatering the plants when they are young.
Need more details about symptoms.
ps- after checking closer that link leads to a large plug. use the smaller ones if possible to be able to monitor rooting levels.
