Here is a puzzler perhaps one of you can answer.
My first grow was in soil. Three seeds ended up in 3 gallon pots.
I eventually went all hydro, including a number of clones from the potted plants.
I decided to bloom the potted plants as I had clones and they were taking up too much space.
Into a small closet of 6 square feet with two 300 watt CFL's and two 100 watt flourescents all 2700k.
After a week or so they had the nerve to be all males.
I removed them from the closet and replace them with a dozen clones including the clones from the potted plants.
I included them after reading an Ask Ed article which stated that you can force a female plant to grow male if you give it too much light.
Well, I did have the plants just a few inches from the light, so I put the clones in just to be sure.
Well, a week or so later they were all showing male characteristics. Done deal, right?
I pulled them out and set them aside in a container that was getting no direct lighting and 18/6 indirect lighting.
A week later I was getting ready to toss them, and I noticed that all the male characteristics were gone, and they appeared to have pistules. What the f--k?
Back into the closet with their couzins, and a week later, they are all showing definite female buds.
Can someone explain to me what the hell happened here?
Oh, here is a pic from one of the original potted plants.
