Newbie need some input

Growing some Skunk #1 and am at about 7 weeks flower. I've only really grown AF stuff like Lowryder and Masterlow before. In those strains the calyxes got really swollen up near harvest, but my Skunk ladies aren't really doing that. I'm under the understanding that 'calyxes' are the plant matter from which the stigmas shoot out of...correct? Also of concern is that there really aren't alot of trichomes on them as yet, especially when compared to what my Masterlows look like, as they get very frosty. Is that normal for that strain? I'm growing w/ a 400w hps, 12/12 light in a closet and I've been feeding them Botanicare Pro Bloom(1.5-4-5). Flowering times I've seen vary wildly from 7 weeks to 11 weeks. Help?

i have sk#1 currently growing outside and it appears it'll be done naturally by the end of this month. it didn't get those swollen calyxes either like some strains do but those don't come out on all strains anyway so i wouldn't worry about it. and trich's mean little when it comes to the final results. if in doubt you can always take a small bud off of the lower branches and do a test run...

Might not be quite done yet. The main thing I would check is the heat in that closet. If its too hot they wont dense up like your wanting.
