Transplanting question

i have a humidome with 72 soil plugs that have my clones in them they are all about 2-4inches but are becoming root bound... my op is only set up for 12 12 so icant put them into the tables until they are ready to b budded... what can i do to get max growth out of the plugs?? they are going to b transplanted into 5in net pots in a week.. is there something i might b able to transplant them so that there not root bound but also not to big to later b transplanted to 5 in pots i just want them to b prime before they go into the aero tables any advise would b great thanks
