im thinking about starting a grow soon and i have alot of money. i know a little about the basics of growing and i would like to know what would be easier. growing out of soil, or buying a hydroponic garden?? When i start this grow i am going to be gettin 3 clone plants. i just want to know which is less complicated??
everyone has there own idea about whats best......hydro your will get bigger faster growing plants with better yeild. Soil you will get better tase and smell, Its all growers prefrence try one out, prob soil first to get your feet wet........Good Luck!

i was thinkin about gettin that emilys hydroponic garden. but its small and it still costs alot of money. the clone plants im gettin are pretty bomb. so idk wat ill do because i heard if i just grow in soil ill end up with more weed. so i think im just gonna stick with soil so i dont spend money and then not know wat im doing.
Exactly start off in soil it will be alot of fun and a learning experiance. Just get your self a ph tester for the soil and some nutes(plant food) and go with it learn all your can in the mean time....you should join chat and hang out a bit man

yeah i know i need like a 30-15-15 for veg and a 10-20-20 for flower and stuff like that. once i start growing im gonna post a journal and maybe have a couple more questions.
buy an organic soil. plant clones in organic soil, after a month take cuttings. find out which plant you like the best, keep for a MOM, and flower the others. by growing in soil, you can keep the mom in perpetual veg, and take cuttings every 3-4 weeks to keep grow going.
You will never yield in soil what you yield in hydro. I don't agree with the taste comment. The taste is in proper flushing, and curing. If you cure your pot, after flushing it properly. It will taste fine. Peace
make sure your soil has plenty of perlite or clay pebbles in it to help with drainage and aeration, and dont pack the soil down at all, nice n light n fluffy, this also help your plants grow faster as the roots dont have to fight there way through so hard
and like cl said in his first reply and like latewood said,
you never get more from soil than hydro mate.
but soil is the easyest and a good place to start.
good luck mate cya around
Definately start with soil. Don't let the talk of poor yield scare you either, you can still get impressive yeilds in the dirt. I will concede that you will never get as much as you can with hydro, but it's not like you won't get anything at all.
Soil is more forgiving of novice mistakes. When growing in a hydroponic system it's good to be able to properly diagnose and correct problems ASAP. Hydro will require daily checking of rez ph and ppm levels, or at bare minimum every other day if you are comfortable with your system. I have just started using hydro after a solid year and a half of growing in dirt. I ran into some expected novice problems, but it turned out great.
I will advise you that the pre-made hydro systems are heavily over priced for what you are getting. You need to think about whether or not the system will be able to support it's full number of full grown plants. Putting 6 hydro plants in a 16''x24'' space will get really cramped really fast! Personally I'd rather build my own system to suit my wants and needs, for a fraction of the cost. DWC is a cheap system to set up, that's what I'm using. With individual buckets you can move the plants around however you want them.
I hope all your Ganja Growing dreams come true!!

You guys crack me up... B...what do you feel comfortable doing first? Soil would be the best choice for a beginner...
But i prefer to do all my growing in water..i say if you have the cash...do it right ....!!! water is not that hard to grow in. If you have it like that...go out and buy yourself a prebuilt grow chamber.... if working with less go with a 3 bucket drip setup...if all else... do i clone in water the other 2 in dirt and compare your results... I have done both and would be very willing along with others to help you in your first grow.....Hit me up
And to the rst of you...GOOD DAY......lol....NO Worries
