Cutting roots?

Hey all,

I've read some conflicting things about cutting or not cutting roots in hydro... Anyone know anything about this or know of where to find more information regarding it? Is it good? bad? does it promote more root growth after the initial stuntage or just not good at all to do? Any info would be appreciated

there is no point in cutting roots in hydro. If you damage the roots, then that might warrant cutting roots back. sometimes newbies grow more than one plant in a rez, and get the roots tangled. In that case you could trim them apart when you find a male amidst...However, you can just cut the stalk.

Don't know why you asked. different answers for different situations

i ask because i've read that it promotes root growth by trimming them but then i've read like you said not to mess with the roots. I read that trimming select roots promotes more root growth and the bigger the root ball the bigger the buds in the end...

I was just curious if anyone had info on it or had tried..

ya i ended up sayin forget hydro for now and went to dirt.. just as good end results with less hassle
