HI everyone, I decided im going to try and grow deep water culture for my first time. i went out and got an air pump and airstone. what nutes should i buy and what do i need? if u can help me out it will be great

you decided to pick some random way of growing (at least the name sounds so) for your first time and then post up asking for all the info you can?! dude. gotta get the research done first, then ask specific questions. and def choose the easiest way possible for your first time. at least a simple normal way, with a simple normal name. like, dirt.

good luck. in no way am i trying to make it hard for you. you are already accomplishing that.

im sure what you mean is prob aero growing or hydro..

hey, dwc is a pretty simple way to go and with a little care and attention you should have some success.I found this for you, DIY Standalone DWC Bucket , it seems like an easy build.The only thing I would really change would be to use a black bucket to begin with-all that tape seems like a pain in the ass, and you can get mesh pot type lids that fit 5 gal buckets perfectly to cut down on some construction if you wish, it will also give you more room for hydroton than the method shown.If you dont want to make it yourself you can find fairly inexpensive setups at pretty much any hydro store site.as for nutes n such do some research,find out what is available to you locally and ask the guys at your local shop what they have had success with, then chose from those.

ahhh the DWC makes a lil more sense to me now that two and two were put together but still i keep my first post in tact.

LOL JohnDoe. Need to try somthing new! so this afternoon got a new ballist- 1000W HpS with relector 200$ CAN good deal. had to buy it lol. i also got rockwool but not sure if i want to use them with the mech cups. what u think should i buy clay pellets instead? ill prob try them both but let me some info.

start your plants in the r-wool and simply place that in the pellets when its well rooted,you may have to water from the top until your roots make their way to the res.
