- KNOW THE SYMPTOMS.....PLEASE READ!-

Thank goodness there's a name for this disorder.

Somehow I feel better,even though I have it!!

Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. -

Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway,

I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.

As I start toward the garage,

I notice mail on the porch table that

I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys on the table,

Put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table,

And notice that the can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back

On the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think,

Since I'm going to be near the mailbox

When I take out the garbage anyway,

I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my check book off the table,

And see that there is only one check left.

My extra checks are in my desk in the study,

So I go inside the house to my desk where

I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks,

But first I need to push the Coke aside

So that I don't accidentally knock it over.

The Coke is getting warm,

And I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke,

A vase of flowers on the counter

Catches my eye--they need water.

I put the Coke on the counter and

Discover my reading glasses that

I've been searching for all morning.

I decide I better put them back on my desk,

But first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter,

Fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.

Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV,

I'll be looking for the remote,

But I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table,

So I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs,

But first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers,

But quite a bit of it spills on the floor.

So, I set the remote back on the table,

Get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then, I head down the hall trying to

Remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:

The car isn't washed

The bills aren't paid

There is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter

The flowers don't have enough water,

There is still only 1 check in my check book,

I can't find the remote,

I can't find my glasses,

And I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,

I'm baffled because I know I was busy all day,

And I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem,

And I'll try to get some help for it,

But first I'll check my e-mail....

Because I don't remember who I've sent it to.

Thanks Heart. You just saved be a few hundred dollars worth of doctor bills. I suffer from AAADD but never knew what it was! LMAO Good one!

i left my car in a car park once an got a bus home then couldnt remember what the hell id done with the car

I think that I might have a case of Juvenile Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder, you know, the kind that triggers around 18-19?

I wake up and decide that i want to set up my drums and play them.

45 minutes later, I open my eyes and decide that it would be impossible to set my drums up without cleaning my room first.

So I start to kick around some stuff in my room, and I quickly come to the realization that i would be having a much better time if i got really high.

So I pack a cone blunt and commence smoking it with my roommate.

We start watching t.v. and i remember that i was gunna set up my drums after cleaning my room.

so i think really hard about getting up and cleaning my room and i remember that i need to arrange the whole room differently in order to get the drums to fit.

So I'm talking to my roommate about how we should change the room, and he says, "I get my best ideas when I'm baked."

So we load up my bong a few times and we start watching t.v. again.

All of a sudden we hear someone come in the front door and we both begin freaking out, thinking that it was my dad home from work early.

Just as I'm done hiding the bong, my roommate's girlfriend walks in my bedroom and we tell her that she needs to start announcing herself when she comes over.

We all keep watching t.v. until she says that she has to leave for lunch with a girl that I'm trying to hook up with.

So we decide that me and my roommate are going to randomly "bump into" them where they eat.

We go, I get turned down, we leave so that I can burn some cd's that I forgot for this girl that i was trying to get with.

I walk into my room and immediately fall asleep.

I wake up a few hours later and I can't stop thinking about this other girl that I'm trying to get with.

I remember that I need to look up directions to this place I want to take her, so I get on the computer.

Before I look up the directions, I decide to check my email.

I get bored with email and see whats new on oddee.com.

I get bored with oddee and decide to look at the humor thread on sf.

I read the first post this thread, laugh my ass off, and then decide that I try my luck at being hilarious as well.

I write my reply and am instantly surprised about how much of my day I remember and how many things I really did forget to do.

As of now:
No drums
Dirty room
no idea how to fit the drums in
no girlie action
no cd's
no directions
and worst of all...

NO WEED!!!

lol this reply took like an hour and a half.
