Evolution Vs Creationism - Family Guy Style Religious Freaks

Try to follow along this might get confusing
when god created Adam, he created a full grown man in his prime
keep that in mind for later
now the entire basis of religion is faith, can we all agree on this?
Ok is god created a brand new planet, we would be able to easily determine that our planet is roughly 2000 years old
which would give us some pretty undeniable proof that god is in fact real and created earth
completely eliminating the need for faith, cause all faith is is believing in god without physical proof that he's real
which in turn would make his true followers blend in with everyone else

now if god made Adam a full grown man in his prime, what says he didn't create a planet that was already billions of years old with it's own history, steaming along it's natural life cycle
which would mean that we would have to have faith in god and believe he is real
if we knew god was in fact real, people would take that for granted and expect him to fix everything wrong in our lives, and we wouldn't strive to make things better for ourselves
god wants us to believe in him, not know him.

This is really confusing haha I kinda confused myself
