Thanks....
This goes out to all but what are beasters exactly? I've heard the term used often but what does it mean? I heard that it comes from Canada but curious to know more about the quality and the ways of telling what beasters are (ex: red hairs)? They sell for $50 1/8th around these parts (FL), less of course if you buy it up in larger quantaties. Seems to get people real high after a toke or two, more of a mind high than a body high, at least with this batch.
Why are "beasters" good and why are they NOT good? Pros and Cons... thanks

pros: cheap, bought it large quantities, readily available
cons: since thier packed in large quantities, buds get rough housed in the bag with the other buds from being handled alot, coming from canada... also grown in large quantities where quantity not quality is the main concern. usually not cured very well either, so theirs potential for mold..
just to name a few!

Beasters is a direct reference to bud that is grown in B.C. or the British Columbia district of Canada. if you live in florida, most of your high grade pot comes out of Miami, maybe Orlando. i wouldnt call those buds Beasters, but i do think that its some primo Miami Hydro. quite an exceptional example i must say.

beasters are typically densely packs and usually sticky, a littly squishy, and have red hairs. in quantity they go cheap but people push em, like you were sayin, like $50/slice at the end of the chain. i personally dont like the flavor of it and would never pay that price when i can get decent hydro or even headies for the same price.
those nugs look like they could be beasters, but i could be mistaken. really depends on if they're as dense as they look like they are, because hydro usually isn't that dense.

The buds are not as dense as the photos show them to be so I don't know if that's bad or good. The buds are pretty fluffy and they smell pretty good (fruity scent).
For this area (central FL) and at this time (the better bud is out right now), I guess I'm pretty happy with this order Let me know what th rest of you all think.... thanks again!

i don't like beasters, and IMO those look a little better than most beasters i've smoked...and trust me i've had alot since my state borders canada.
beasters are the mids of BC, better than mids but compared to their good weed its not that good. Its all manicured up to look really fluffy and crystally and then when you smoke it you get burning in your lungs (more so then other weed) and a high that feels chemically. It still gets you substantially high, but its like a cubic zerconium vs. a diamond (if compared to headies)
i try to avoid it at all costs though, i tended to get a progressively worse cough when i smoked beasters daily.

I've had that feeling from "beaster-type" weed (burning in lungs, chemical smell). The photo in my avatar is exactly what you were describing (that is from about 6-7 months ago). I must say though that this current stuff is not like that. Nice smooth intake, doesn't burn harshly, nice smell when exhaled, etc, so now I'm thinking that this is pretty good stuff based everything I've described and what you and others have described.

Forgive my ignorance, but what the hell is headies??? As if the 14 billion strain names weren't confusing enough...
That looks better than what I got- plain ol brick weed. smells grassy, but with an undertone of herbs and spice. If I seal it up for a while, the good smell wafts out when I open the bottle. Good high though- 1 or two hits gets me plenty high, both stony and cerebral. In bud form it burns like shit, though, so I ground it up into shake. Not harsh at all and it tastes decent. My tolerance is shot, so most of you would likely need a lot more to get toasted. ( fine by me- it makes my bag last a lot longer!) That and I don't really like being monumentally stoned anyway...
But dammit- I'm friggin green with envy at all of you who can get the name brand stuff!! I drool over my copies of High times just wishing I could score smoke like that!! I've NEVER come across ANY named varieties around here- just the usual brick, mids, and dimebag weed. Occasionally I see some killer bud, or some homegrown hydro.
Oh, and thanks for the pics!

Stoner Buck$$: 351.72 | Re: New bud... Beasters, Mids, High Grade? What you all think??? Dude the buds look good. Forget the popular terms and go with what your senses tell you, you do have 5 of them, and if they say this is stoney herb and it will do more than "The Job" SMOKE IT YO!! Headies as far as I know are sativas, and thats another thing when the hell did we get away from latin inspired terms. What the hell is a heady or a blunt or mids or beasters or whatever the hell we are calling it. We should be learning the correct terminollogy for this herb we are so adiment about. 3 forms of Cannabis only SATIVA,INDICA & RUDERALOUS. Any decent form of these should do the trick for whatever boat needs to be floated or ailment needs addressed...haha.

hoookay... let's educate.
Headies= The very tops of the plant. The most potent buds. Headies consists of every top commercial strain around. You're not going to get White Widow mids, you know?
Beasters= Kine Bud, Middle of the plant. The part of the plant where not as much light gets through, generally the middle, to lower middle. Lots of dankness, not as many crystals.
Mids= The very bottom of the plant. Mixed with Schwagg, it's very similar. The higher up the plant, the more dank the mids get.
Headies = 20-25 a gram
Beasters = 15-20 a gram
Mids = 10-15 a gram
Schwagg = 5-10 a gram
Any questions?

So i dunno what the weed is, but pyro you should look into growing your own. Order seeds from a seedbank, get some lights and nutes, and bingo u got the best bud in your area.
