Wassup all,

First post on here and wanted to say that I love the site so far. Just purchased some "headies" and hoping that I got a fair deal. Guy said that this weed was a little older and damp but the best high around. Lots of crystals but he said because it is a bit damp that it must be stored correctly or it could get mold. I took some pictures (below) and was wondering if you all could tell me if this batch looks like it is good & crystal filled or if there it is mold. I'll be getting my 420Scope in a couple of days so I can check it closer then as well. I flicked the buds to see if it powdered off but nothing, everything on the bud stayed the same. I've been keeping the weed stored in an airtight container in a dark, cool spot but occationaly let it air out because of it's dampness.

I will say that so far what I've smoked has been FANTASTIC. Just 1-2 hits and I'm pretty high so I'm hoping that this is still salvagable IF there is mold on the buds. The pictures are from a couple of days ago when I first purchased it... please tell me what you all think and if it looks like crystals (tricombs) or mold, thanks:

And there's definitely some mold in there
And some weird unexplainable things...

Fourth edit: that nug on the left looks like it has powdered sugar sprinkled on it

Hummm... how can you tell? What do I do?

How would weed with mold taste when smoked? What should I do with this weed?

The weed smells and tastes like a citrusy-mango flavor. Don't see any mites on or in it and aside from the "powdery" look it seems fine... more comments & thoughts more than welcomed... thanks again

I pulled these buds apart and all I got was the citrus scent and a lot of white little hair looking things (or tricombs?) on/in the bud. Nothing fell out and it seemed pretty fresh. Could the citrus smell be close to the smell of amonia? It's definatly not as strong as a cleaner with amonia (is that the mold scent) but does have a fruity-citrus scent. Anyways, I do get high off 2 hits so let me know if you'd smoke it cause soon it'll all be gone

Well, thanks for all of the thoughts on my newest bought buds. So since I's suspecting either GOOD buds or mold and another person said spider mites, how can I double check if it's any of the bad of the above? Can I do a test for mold... would I see mites in my bud? As of now, I haven't spotted ANY mites of any sort so it probably is not that. Again, as for the mold, none of it is powdered or flakes off when the bud is flicked. It looks either like thick white hairs and good tricombs OR web-like mold that doesn't come off. That's all I can speak of from my exploration of the buds. The smell is damn good, epecially when I cracked open the buds... the smell resembles a citrus-mango flavored cleaner with a hint on amonia..Could this be bad (amonia smell) because I heard that it could mean mold. What would be the best or better way of storing damper weed (I don't have a humidifier)... I want to stop any chance of mold (or futher mold)... thanks for the help!

PS: What other info could I give to help you all out on giving a description on the look of the weed. I can take more photos of the weed after I opened it up and get as close as possible... how can I get a real close pic without overflash or getting out of focus? Anyways, the more info you guys can pass along, the better... thanks in advance to all who can help!

I'm 100% positive your weed has spider mites. I spent 30 minutes looking at all 4 of those pictures and I saw well over 10 strands/little wicks. Rip apart a nugget, search deep inside. Highly elusive to the human eye. 420Scope would help. Try looking at the where the stem meets the nugget, rip that open, and if you search hard enough you'll find em. The webs are highly evident.

I once smoked over a QP of this Afghani weed, only to find out a week or so after I finished the strain I found out it was literally infested. Hard to spot, but once you've got it, you've got it.

Take the powdered sugar nug, put it in a shot glass, get some scissors, break it up real fine. Put the weed on a blank white piece of paper. You'll be able to get a good feel with what's in your shotglass, wether it be weed, or spider eggs

Smoke that shit man, its just good shit. My guess is he prolly stored some orange slices in with the weed, hence the citrus crazyness. TOKE IT UP.
