When it's harvest time we allways want to know how well the crop turned out but you really don't know until it's dried and smokeable. One method I use is to weigh the wet trimmed bud and figure there is going to be X% of weight loss in the dry process.

These buds weighed an avg. of 26 grams each when they were trimmid down last night. That's 468 grams wet weight so there should be how many grams of dried bud? Come on guys/gals, take a guess...

once the stems are gone and the curing has taken place, i am guessing about 160 grams.

About 155 grams is what I thinking and yes the stems will be removed LOL. There is not much stem on these actually, I like to dry on the stalk. Slows the dry process down a few days which to me is a good thing. Like I say we all do it differently.

let it get dry for a week or so. maybe 10 days. when it is not moist anymore, put it in brown paper bags. every day for about 2 weeks, open the bags and gently move the weed around for air circulation. let the bag air out for 5-10 mins and close it back up again.

use a clip to fold the bag over once and seal the top

don't put too much in one bag, it will get moldy.

use the grocery store bags, they are the best because they absorb better.

if you take the extra step, you will have the finest smoke imaginable.

On average, I lose between 70%-75%. If there's a lot of stem, I'll say 90-100 grams.
