BTW my second plant, it sprang up like 6 inches in one night...right into the lights and got burned

Looks good, they shouldn't stretch anymore than they already have. what kind of light are you using? Did you switch from MH to HPS for flowering?

he is using T-5's if I am not mistaken... looking good radcliffe for being your first! give her as much time as she needs to flower( preferably over 8-9 weeks). sometime those t-5's are crazy in how well they work, but another nice thing about them is you can get those plants really close to the lights- but if they touch it burns, oh well. as long as it didnt burn the mature bud you should be fine.

I only run my t5s for the first week once sprouted, in my experiments I have found that florescent lighting stretchs plants way too much.

Yes, i am using T5s. I did have a single bulb ballast with a T12? in it up until i started flowering. Never used a MH or HPS I don't have the room to run something with that high of a heat output right now.
Ive always kept the plants within 3 inches of the lights so they can soak up as much as they can.
Right now i have to figure out how to get some bigger pots in my grow box so my babies can have more root room.

I'm about 1 1/2 weeks away from flower and i used a HPS light that i purchased at the hydroponic shop had a built in ballast on it. If you ask me i think that light did exceptionally well so far. This is my first grow. I find that as long as you have proper ventilation, than you can control the temps of the lights considerably by simply installing some fans for intake and outtake. Go to grow log and check out my grow.

i love this forum any other one you go to people are bashing each other everybody here is too stoned and happy to act stupid lol
nice first run im tech. on my 3rd and its the first time ive made it to the flowering stage cause of sad reason rather than failure but thats another story lol point- you have entered a very wonderful world with growing and i cant wait to see your next run
