Attention New Growers Nirvana Citral Hempy grow starting soon
from germinating the seeds to harvest starting on 9/5/08 The object of this grow is show beginners an easy way to grow with few moving parts and an easy nute formula.
Nirvana Citral Citral produces a nice mellow herbal taste, very good yield and strong hard buds. Indoor for best results, grow relatively tall before changing the photo period. Citral produces a fresh, almost fabric softener aroma and interesting cerebral experience for the growing enthusiast. Some of the genetics for this strain come from the Hindu Kush mountain region near a village district named Chitral. Indica Flowering Weeks: 8/9
Here's the plan Germinating 4 seeds in a paper towel which will go between 2 saucers once the "tails are ~1/2" long it'll go into potting soil when those get ~2" tall they will go into their own 3/4 gal plastic buckets veg those for 2-3 weeks then into a 3 gallon bucket for ~week then into flower
Lights: 125 watt 6400k fluro for veg 400 hps for flower Grow medium: 3 parts perlite/1 part vermiculite Buckets: 3/4 gal for veg, 3 gal for bloom
General Hydroponics Flora Micro and Flora Bloom Calmag Carbo Max powder Kool Bloom powder

you really shouldn't rely on water measurements and schedules unless you're going hydro. you need to get used to the plant's rhythm or you'll end up with root rot from overwatering or other probs. it's not an exact science...

Thank you for your comments dez. Guess it would help if I put this is my first post.
This is a passive hydro system called Hempy Buckets. It has a 2" internal reservior. (1.25" on the 3/4 gal) A hole is drilled in the side of the bucket and the bucket is put in a tray to catch overflow if any.
The idea is to water everyday until the roots hit the bottom reservior. Then roughly every other day after that.

More Pics. I transplanted into the big buckets since i have more space now. I accidently used the wrong nute mix and twice fed the plant a 550 nute mix instead of water and a bit of superthrive. A slight setback.

Having some construction work done on my house so the veg room has to go. The plants are so small but I may put them into the flower room to get the females and clone from there. I have no idea if it will work but it's either that or toss them.
