An update at day 35 veg for all those interested lol...
Couple of questions,
1.Would it be a good idea to start using nutes now because so far they havent had anything? im sure i read somewhere that the nutrients already in the soil will be used up within the first 3 or so weeks of growth...?
They are around 9 inches tall now and would like to flower in 3 weeks, i still have plenty of room so if they stretch a bit more through using nutes before flowering and fill up some space then that would be great!
2.Can anyone clear up the yellow tips and even lower leaves in the pic? or is this normal and my paranoia is creepin in
I do not know yet what the PH levels in the soil are, i know you might say i should know right from the beginning but i totaly forgot through all of the excitement of a first grow
Any advice and criticism, bring it on | |

You should be able to start using nutes, but start with about 1/2 the recommended amount. You will definitely want to know if the ph is stable before you start the nutes because it will cause even more problems.
Check the ph
Balance ph
Start nute 1/2 strength
Word of advice.
Your plants will do a lot more growing in three weeks, and also stretch a lot at the beginning of 12/12. Make sure you have enough room because if you don't it's a lot easier to lst train now rather than later.
Yellowing..
It's normal for older foliage to die off, especially if the light doesn't penetrate the canopy well. Maybe that's it's way of telling you it's time for nutes(check ph).
If you want to grow again after this try getting a bunch of good clones from the best plant you have. If you do that then you know a lot more about what that strain likes.

If you are going to get nutes online just buy a ph test kit. They are about $9.
You can just flush with ph balance water, and then flush another gallon of distilled water, followed by feeding a diluted nute mix.

Will a cheap PH Test kit do theres one for about £5 on the same website as the nutes lol? dosent have to be anything expensive i would imagine.

I have about 4 - 5 foot space above the plants just now, and according to the suppliers information about genetics, the strain is described as:
Papaya-(Mango) is a fast growing plant, mold and disease resistant, and usually an early maturing plant. Papaya has a sweet, tropical fruity flavour. Papaya is a heavy, greasy indica staying low and dense, very suitable for sea of green gardens. The buzz from our papaya is lethargic, almost narcotic
So i think i should be ok for height!

just a quick queery, they have been veggin for 53 days now and my nutes havent come in time from the website i got them from.do u think i should just switch to 12/12 and give them some bio-bizz bloom thats still in the post maybe a week into flower?
3 out of the 4 plants have little tiny white pistils already and im not running 12/12 (and yes, i can tell the difference betweeen new shoots and pistils) are these just pre-flowers?
thanks

AHHHH....Life is good when you can wake up to some healthy plants like these. No need to wait on the flowering. If you have preflowers, they are ready to bloom.
Normally its the male flowers that show up 1st, so if you can see preflowers on 3 of them, you got it made. Grow on.
