| Re: NEED HELP FROM STONERS ASAP
Well daKannabisKid if you were looking for stoners... you came to the right place.
Maybe I can help I just got into a program for graphic design after a pretty long hiatus (changed major, got into writing go figure).
Anyway the thing with drawing is, in my experience, some people got it and some just don't. But it can be taught so if you've taken Drawing I or some equivalent of that put it all to good use here. Me? I have this fascination with noses and eyes. I literally draw variations of the two everytime I put a pencil to paper.
Your going to need just a few tools if you don't have them. First get yourself a set of graphite pencils, any brand will do, don't spend too much. Then get a kneaded eraser, it's a gummy eraser that does magic and i'm pretty sure never runs out. Finally get a stump, it's a weird kind of wooden looking tool used to smudge and smear graphite. Now mess around with the pencils to get different shades. Use the stump effectively to make shadows and define edges by smudging outside of your edges. You can really fake some good stuff with a stump and a good graphite pencil.
Now your going to have to figure out what you draw best or what you can envision in your head best. Try not to trace or put a picture in front of you and draw it. This isn't 3rd grade and it's not going to help you develop any skills or creativity.
Some tips would be to go to a workshop where you can look at a human model. If you like scenery go to the park and sit on a bench and just stare at a backdrop until it's committed to memory. You have to get into details here.
Try not to sweat it. If you've got the creativity to do graphic design then your golden here. You just need to learn a few tricks.
PM me if you need any more help.
