Stoner Buck$$: 118.98 | Best Strain for Fibromyalgia Hey there everyone,
I'm sorry I have not introduced myself yet. I am a married woman living near Denver. I am currently actively engaged in obtaining my medical marijuana license, as that is allowed by the laws here. I have fibromyalgia and am currently also actively pursuing filing for disability because of this ailment.
Anyone who doesn't know about fibro, it's crap. Total crap. Insomnia and fatigue, muscle aches and chiropractic problems along with IBS and other complaints. I have found a great deal of relief from many of my symptoms by smoking/vaporizing/eating marijuana. I will be soon looking for seeds to cultivate plants (I will be allowed six, I am told). What strains - and where can I find seeds/seedlings of these strains - of marijuana are both available and good treatment for chronic pain? |

The Indicas might be your best option for pain, although when you get your license speaking with a responsible care giver and trying various strains is probably your best option.
There are a few options for caregivers in Denver and once you are a legal patient those avenues will become available.

no matter what you chose you're going to want at least 2 different strains, i prefer 4 or more...otherwise you'll be stuck with a strain you're burned out on after a few weeks and having a variety will keep that down and your well being up! and it doesn't have to be total opposites either (sativa vs indica)...just different strains is all. besides it's always nice to have a different flavor to hit on...
good luck

thats highly agreeable. always better to have more than less, and like you say, sometimes a strain can get burnt out.
but indicas are greater pain relievers sometimes than the sativas.

Hey Majyka, I know how you feel sister. I have had fibromyalgia for nearly 20 years and know it for the demon that it is. I am not on disability as of now, but since I have been progressively worse over the last few years the possibility is very real. I am trying to get marijuana for chronic pain and depression, but unfortunately my state does not allow it. I don't like to have to sneak around to get it, but I don't really have much choice at this point. Believe me, I have tried all the prescription meds out there and none of them work. I wish you luck in your treatment. I'm going to continue my search for a reliable and safe source.

I lived with her while she was in constant pain, unable to work because most of the time she couldnt leave her bed because of the pain. And all those fucking educated forgien doctors could do was load her up on opiates to dull the pain. Eventually she just stopped taken most of them because they had no help in soothing the pain and only tore her stomach up. I hope that maybe one day IL will legalize MMJ and my mom can kick her fentanyl addiction.
But anyways, back to topic im not sure if there is a best strain for anything, but like JDR said an indica based strain would probaly best, and if i can suggest a strain right now it would be some Sour Diesel. I got my hands on some of this a few weeks earlier and man it was some of the best smoke i have had in awhile
