On Oct. 28, the NH House of Representatives voted to override Gov. Lynch's veto of HB 648 in a 240-115 vote. Less than an hour later, the Senate voted 14-10 in favor, but this was less than the 2/3 majority that would have been required for an override.
This is about as close as a bill can come to passing without actually making its way onto the law books. The people of this state are convinced, and so is most of the legislature, but there will obviously be more work ahead before patients can seal the deal. Stay tuned!
