I found light powdery mold and I Harvest tomorrow.
I Treated with bacon soda and water mix as soon as I spoted it. Not even a full leaf is infected yet? But I have had about ten or fifteen leaves with small spots on them. One bud was removed due to the presence on the small bud leaf. it was sealed in a bag and destroyed.
Infected leaf was also pulled.

My real issue is this, Should I go ahead and harvest now or wait another 24 Hours for the equknox (full moon)?.

Also what about drying and curing? Will it continue to grow as I dry?( The mold)

I have a closet @ 30% humidity 72-74 degrees with an osculating fan. Originally wanted to raise Humitidy to 50% for longer better curing...But now I'm Scared..

I'm not a total newbe but I'm close. Hope this is enough info to help someone help me...

If you're ready for harvest, I don't see why you would wait for a full moon. . . Just cut them down and get them dry!

Yes that I understand. My biggest concern is will I have to worry if this will still spread during the drying process.

Unfortunately it will try to spread during drying. I would find a small portable heater and place it near your drying area. Don't blow air on the plants, it will just help to spread the mold spores. The fast dry will probably effect the taste but it could save the crop.

Equinox- the event that happens twice a year (March 21, Sept 21) where the days and nights are of the same length.

with humidity that low you should be fine powder mold dosent really grow too much at that low of humidity. and try to blow the air out of the room replacing it with fresh dry air

i just had a brain fart so hold your breath.......
i wonder if a water cure would help stop the mold & allow the bud to cure.or do u think the mold would show up in the final drying ???????

i don't think it's safe to smoke mold

maybe you could cure it and cook it

water cure is when u submerse the bud in clean water(r/o or distilled) in the fridge for 2 days or so.changing the water every 4-6 hours(do it slow dont be knocking off trichs with water). the idea is that all the stuff u want out is water soluble so it is slowing leached in to the water & removed with every change.remove the buds and screen or hang dry the wet buds until dry,i used exhaust from grow to hurry the process.the bud tasted very smooth but seemed to be missing a certain taste i enjoy.
i have done a few water cures & it does work,not the best choice for everyone.had to try it a few times though right. peace

its not exactly safe to smoke powder mold, but the worst ive ever goten from it was broncitis (an upper respiratory infection which can lead to pnemonia if not treated), and that was really heavily molded stuff.

a lot of imported brick weed has mold.it is not properly dried most times & then shoved into trash compacter.great place for mold to grow & look how many brick smokers are out there........but i definitely wouldn't recommend smoking it....
