soil is cheaper, easier and more forgiving for the beginner...

SOG = sea of green...a method of growing larger numbers in a smaller space...usually reserved for clones.

Seconded on the soil growing. It's far more forgiving and it can be left for a time if necessary. Growing is a kick in the pants for sure.

Go soil, and don't buy the cheap shit you get at Walmart. Go to a Hydro store and tell them what you are doing (not literally, be somewhat discrete) and ask for advice on how to get it going. You will spend some $$ but gain a lot of knowledge. Best part is you will be set up to grow in one swoop and have a good first experience, plus as an added bonus you know a guy at the Hydro store who is probably growing too

I to have been pondering growing my own for personal use. I wouldn't be selling though b/c I have 2 year old kid that needs his father. I thought about buying some white widow seeds online. Should I spend the money on good seeds or just experiment with some of my shwag seeds. How hard is it to grow white widow indoors?

I am also thinking about investing in some quality seeds. Might as well give myself as much edge as I can get.

get the strains you like. if you like blueberry then get some...or get the best you can afford. they all grow about the same and if you follow the advice from experienced growers you'll be fine.

I would get some genetics from a seedbank. the ones I recommend you DO NOT get is: anything with Kush(besides Hindu Kush, which is very easy to grow), or Haze genetics. they are both very prone to being finicky when they are growing for what ever reason( both strains have their odds and ends). if I were in this situation I would definitley start out by growing soil for sometime and once you have a very good grasp on how the plant works, then try out hydro.

I, however, started out by helping out some of my close friends grow theirs, then branched off into my own deal. but I started out doing hydro and then when to soil and have never gone back. so it all is preference really.

Soil or Hydro. Either 1 works.

I would at least root a few bagseed before I tried some seeds I paid for.
