| Re: Harvesting soon but tops look odd
what strain is the strain your growing? also, what temp, and humidity is your enviroment at? if your growing something that is very mildly dense( consistancy of a blueberry bud for example)bud it sometimes can grow bud molds from the very middle, inside of the bud toward the outside, and it chose the path of least resistance to get oxygen to fuel the growth of the mold ( which could of been the tip of your bud). sometimes though even with semi dense buds, they have certain genetic qualities that make them less or more resistant to mold. same with pests and such, etc.
or maybe you just dropped some soil on the top of your plant accidently . if you grow hydro then the top is more likely, as many types of hydro systems usually make your grow enviroment more humid.
if you think it possibly mold, just cut it. dry the buds, and cut open that one that has the black tip and see what the interior looks like. if theirs mold, cut it out and turn that bud, and other affected buds into some hash. thats my recommendation , just be VERY certain to get all the mold off the usable calyxes before making any hash, it tends to mold the end product if you dont do a good enough job.
hope this helps.
