Anyone ever tried/heard of Sensizyme?Carbo-loader?

hey everyone,

hows it going? I was recently at the hydro store( go figure....lol) and I stumbled upon this additive from advanced nutrients called Sensizyme. apparently its a enzyme supplement that is packed with like 80 beneficial enzymes, when others are only apparently like 12 enzymes. anyone else ever heard of this? what exactly would this do for your plant in either a soil or hydro setup? from what I know about what enzymes do, they essentially make it easier for your plant to eat the available nutrients in the medium. so will putting more into your medium( soil for me) help nutrient uptake? if it does, then do you think adding sensi zyme would make my plants growth rate more rapid?

also another question. they also have carbo loader by A.N. and the bottle says it makes plant more resilient by replenishing what the plant uses during hot days or heavy growth cycles, etc etc . essentially it sounds like gatorade for your plants. I have a friend that recommends it , but $22 a quart is a bit steep. if its worth it I will use it. but what does it do and would you recommend it?

thanks everyone!

Re: Anyone ever tried/heard of Sensizyme?Carbo-loader?

sensizyme was featured in an urban grower episode, i picked a bottle of it up when i was growing some soil plants awhile ago. in an otherwise optimal growing environment, it ideally would help with the nute uptake.

as far as the carbo loader.....i dunno so much about that one, it sounds like an expensive blend of molasses to me, but being that it is a a.n. product, im sure they did spice it up a bit. worth the money.....i couldnt say. it would be worth testing in a controlled grow experiment, thats for certain.

one thing you may want to look into is "silica blast," i believe it is a botanicare product. its basically a bunch of silica for the plant, strengthens the stem structure and makes it more resilient.

Re: Anyone ever tried/heard of Sensizyme?Carbo-loader?

thanks for the response GLX. yeah, on the carbo loader I think I may just skip that and go with silica blast and a little bit of some good old black strap molasses. the sensizyme seemed like a sure fire bet-soil loves alot of enzymes & bacteria for beneficial nutrients. so come soon I'll make that one last trip to the hydro store for some new products.

Re: Anyone ever tried/heard of Sensizyme?Carbo-loader?

Sensizyme is a concentration of 80 enzymes that have been specifically produced to increase plant growth. Sensizyme helps in developing roots of the plant. This concentrate helps in breaking down dead root mass, starches, carbohydrates, and nutrients. This helps in enhancing plant growth. The concentrate has a long shelf life of 18 months, which means you can stock up on this nutrient solution in bulk. Use this nutrient every week during the vegetative stage for best results.

Carbo Load Powder or Liquid contains simple and complex carbohydrates that give plants the carbos they need when they need it during flowering cycle. It is a carbohydrate approach to bloom boosting that has some advantages over other bloom boost methods.
