A few days ago I decided to plant some seeds I had saved up. I planted 24 seeds and 17 have now sprouted. I was unsure about what to do with them since it is getting cooler out (I live in the northeast) and I didn't want to lose them by putting them outside for sunlight. So, I came up with the bright idea of using an old fish tank I had in the basement. I set the plants inside the fish tank and turned the florescent light on them. I have a few questions: 1. is that ok? 2. how long should I leave the light on each day? 3. how soon can you tell the sex? Thanks everyone for any future help and don't laugh at me! I am new at this and I am blonde!!!

Leave the lights on 18/6 18 on, 6 off
The aquarium Will grow pot, wont be the best or idea environment for them though, My first grow was in a 75 gallon aquarium, I covered the insides with White Cardboard to keep the light in it. But the Aquarium had Horrible airflow so larger lights are a bitch.

You wont see sex until after about 7-10 weeks from now.

the aquarium lights will keep it alive for awhile but u really need to invest to better lights if you plan on harvesting anything. get some cfls or something along those lines, even a florescent grow light or something. no fish tank i have ever seen has the light output to grow bud
