Im currently vegging some clones into mothers, But i am not sure what step to take next do i clone into rockwool and go hydro with two Ebb and Flow 12 bucket systems? or even use a Aeroponics? maybe soil in a grow bag?
My goal is to yield the most from 6 plants at a time, and can even have 18 in veg
thxs for opinions

well merlin that would all depend on how good you are at growing, aeroponics could yield the best but it could also ruin your harvest the quickest if you mess up on something. there is not much room to screw up on that. i would let the mothers grow til you can clone them, then put them in RW cubes and wait til the roots pop out and put them in the ebb & flow. remember to soak your RW for 24h in a solution of 5.5ph if you dont your gonnna have ph probs throughout your grow. soil is nice and easy if you have the extra space, i did a few grows with both hydro and soil (same strains) to see the difference in yield, potency, smell and appearance. the hydro produced much fatter buds with more resin than the ones in soil, tho the ones in soil were also really good but just not comparable to the hydro

Excellent advice,NFT yeilds awesome, best to have a few grows under your belt,if you have the confidence,go for it..
Ebb+flow is much more forgiving and when done correctly produces great yields also.
Waterfarms or bubble buckets are also well worth considering, fast growing, high yeilding, easy maintainance.
Goodluck with whatever you choose!

Ok so i picked up 36 slot aeroponic cloner today, still running soil wating to decide what to go with for the main crop.

Nice one just make sure youve all the bases covered, good timmers, etc, youll see some differance from soil to aeroponics, enjoi!

A couple yrs ago we built an aerocloner from detailed directions and pictures in a thread from another site. Did lots of research and read hundreds of threads on aerocloning, and found the biggest problem was in controling the water temps, and keeping them low enough. We made a serious effort to make it work by putting a thermometer probe right in the water, and found temps ran too high at around 75deg
Determined to make this cloner work, we started adding ice twice a day to try and keep temps below 75deg. That worked ok, and we could keep temps down around 70deg most of the time, but was a pita to add ice all the time. And we also started adding small amounts of Hydrogen Peroxide every day to help control any pathogens.
Our 1st try....before adding ice ended with all cuts dampining off with stem rot. The 2nd go round we did the ice and peroxide treatments. Those cuts made it two weeks, and some of them got root bumps before starting to rot.
We finally figured out it would not be an easy and fast way to root lotsa cuts without being able to chill the water down to around 65 or 70deg, and we couldnt afford a chiller at the time, so thats another project stacked up out in the garage, and we went back to cloning in soil, rockwool ,jiffy7, or per/ver. Since then we have seen threads where an office water cooler can be rigged to circulate cool water in the rez, but havent tried it. Post some results, maybe we can drag the thing outa the garage and make it work now. Good luck

When tempeture in water falls itll create bad bacteria in your system,do not add ice or anything like,if high temps become a problem, insulation or a cooler are your best options, temps must be kept stable for best results.
Any aero rez ive seen has a cover, are high temps an issue?

Not so far things look good. i believe on a good day the temp gets up to low 80s and nights stays above 55.
the information that came with the Cloner said to keep temp in the water in the 65-75 if i remember and if its not to make it that way where i live its right by the Ocean and is cool most the time. I have not tested the water yet for temp just PH
I didnt want to Sacrifice any of my Girls so i took piece of a tomato plant i have growing beside my clones, But i think i made the cut to low its almost 2 inches under the node.... oh well shall see if it works. | |

Nice looking clones.
My aerocloner is about that size too, so i'll be curious to see how it goes with you.
In all the threads i read about aerocloning, it sounded like summer temps were when most folks had problems, but if youre in a cool place, you might have it made.

Beautiful system you have there,I woulnt hesitate to put cuts in,a good mother is what you need.
You have nice plants, pick from your favourite and veg some more then youll be able to fill that cloner.
Ive seen 100% strike rate with those cloners,go for it!
All the best.

I don't know what the best system for growing is, but I've done a lot of reading and I think I think about to change over from soil to bubbleponics. I have a lot of the materials I need laying around already. I just gotta get some tubes, net pots, and some hydro nutes.

So today will be the 5th day it seems to have roots from the whole area that i dipped the Root Compound on.
I also was given 14 Fresh clips from a friends Hydro setup i think its Afghan i noticed they smell like some fresh veggie salad, I have dipped 5 of the 14 in rooting solution and will see how they do.

If you have room to bloom them I would put them all in to keep them more managable.
All the best!
