who are the MacGyver stoners out there?

Not because i like them, (but i do like them) they have become my most frequent way of getting high. I don't have any where to stash a "proper" bong so i just make one when needed. Sometimes i reuse if i leave a bong out in the woods and then manage to find said bong. Basically it means i make alot of bongs which probably isn't that eco friendly but meh.

I only smoke purchased bongs when im with mates who have their own places already or who have lax folks.

This thread is for discussing the pros and cons of homemades, the varying construction methods and other shit along those lines.

Work....You can take ages making a homemade bong and in the end with the bottles and everything there gonna equal the price that you can go out and buy a proper one..

and if i'm going out, i bought this rocketbong thats colapsable..not the greatest but it does the job..

yea dude iv made alo of pieces in my day my favorite one was the one i spent hours hand carving and drilling my hands hurt like hell and then i lost it befor i ould finish it but imoslty make popbottle bongs with my onnie as the stem slide and bowl

i normally make all my bong too, but i like to think of it more as a hobby than a burden. i normally have one in my closet waiting to b smoked out of by mid week. (i only smoke on the weekends and always ditch em) but i found my favorite way is to gut a bic pen and i think its 1/4 inch flexible plastic tube. first i warm the tube just long enough that its at a state tht it will melt inside the tube i triwl it while i do this so it heats evenly. i do tht to straigten it out because it has a natral curve to it. (i make it long enough so it sticks out of the end a bit. i do this because i like to have a deeper bubble when its hitting than when its shotguned.) then i cut like an inch of the pen off and gorilla glue it in just a little bit. then i just gorilla glue the pen tube into watever i am going to make the bong out of.

Well I don't know if this counts but I found this guide on making apple bongs a while ago and decided to try to make one when I was really baked but it didn't turn out very well, it smoked... just but yeah I wont be doing that again.

We don't use homemade ones on a regular basis usually due to already being stoned and therefore it's easier just to use one that we've bought. I do enjoy a good gravity bong though

gravity bongs for sure. Using an Ocean spray jug with a larger mouth for a phatty shotgun and my new favorite toy, the BC Chillum which I bought off the net (www.bucketchillum). I don't need to handmake the bowl piece which was always the hardest part and it fits all the jug sizes outside of the Alhambra 5-gallon. Definitely use a clear bottle though so you can see the quality of smoke fill up.

Had to smoke out of an apple bong once out of necessity when a generous couple gave me left over weed they couldn't take with them on the plane. Happy to have smoked successfully, pain in the ass to make, but I was staying in a hotel with my parents so beggers can't be choosers.
