Angry Tolerating Tolerances

I'm fairly new to smoking -- about 2-3 months into it. Friend hooked me up as my dealer, and I've got a Volcano and a VM3 as vaporizers and a mini bubbler and papers. Never cared for the blunts, but smoke them when friends do (rather just get weed than tobacco paper in there). I went almost 30 years weed free (never tried it before a few months ago), and now consider myself a regular smoker/vaper.

Anyhow, background done. Now to the forum topic at hand: Tolerating Tolerances.

The first few times smoking -- high as a kite. Loved it. Went from social smoking, then the wife tried it, and now she smokes socially. Now I smoke a lot by myself, because I enjoy it.

Recently, aka the last week, tolerance seems to have come into play. I watch my friends get super high and I'm still on bag #4 of the volcano wondering when it'll get high for me.

I've ruled out bad weed as the possibility, I have 8 strains available to me and have smoked 4 this week trying to figure out why the hell its been really hard to get high. I feel a bit relaxed from it and end up usually falling asleep from trying after a few hours.

Has my tolerance just gotten that fucked up, or is this normal? Help me throttle usage to get the most from our green little friend. Are there tips and tricks you used to stay the maximum high you can get?

LASTLY -- A wildcard for this discussion. I'm been diabetic for 13 years, and I take Insulin. I debated whether or not I should say this because in a forum discussion, folks tend to blame everything on an outside factor. However, my diabetes doctor is a diabetic and she gets high as a kite. Kinda funny to learn that about your doctor after seeing them for 5 years and never having a clue. Either way, if its diabetes related, she sure didnt tell me about it.

im not sure dude i think its just tolarance comming into play cause the same thing has kinda happened to me like i used to smoke only with my friends but stil quite a bit and now im smoking at least once a day with friends and myself and this started happening like a few weeks ago

Man try just going easy on the bud for a week or two. Find something else to do meanwhile, and this could result in you getting back into the weed, and the high being back to normal. Also this could simply act as a psychological barrier, and you having a week or so of could rid that barrier. Best of luck.

drinking green tea and getting plenty of exercise are two of the best things you can do to combat tolerance.

thc has a half life of approximately 96 hours in the human body. when you smoke weed, it tells the part of your body that metabolizes thc to take a break.
green tea contains polyphenols which aid the body in the creation of the enzymes that metabolize thc.

It makes sense, I will have to pick up some green tea and see if it helps. I have noticed that if I stop smoking for a week or longer the high seems to be better when I smoke again, but it tends to fade as the bag gets smaller.

ive noticed for myself, along with Tokin's suggestion, that a plain 'ol healthy diet works wonders also. The more proteins in the body to metabolize down the goodness and make room the better you are. Simple Biology says at least. just a shoot from the hip thought.
