There was once a time when simple Americans could flip on the TV and believe what they were hearing. Now, everytime I turn on the TV and get stuck watching commercial after commerical, why is it none of them are true? Where is the truth in advertising anymore? Every election ad I see, I'm thinking, "Ok, so how much of this is really true?" What ever happened to honesty?

Honesty doesn't win elections, because the truth is, Americans don't want to hear the truth, they want to be told one guy in Washington will fix all their problems and all they have to do is vote for them.

there was never truth in advertisement. everything is always exagerated.

think of think of commercials. coke zero does not taste like regular coke, in fact, it taste like shit. like fizzy shit water.

and "the good old days" is bullshit. no one was honest then either. go to the back of ur comic book and buy a pair of "REAL X-RAY GLASSES! SEE THROUGH ANYTHING!!"

in all honesty man, people arent getting truth involved in commercials b/c its not necessary. If you look at most of the commercials on tv/billboards today, its all just visual appeal, or some stupid catch phrase or a cheap pun.

commercials aren't selling you the product, they're selling you the commercial.

never understood why adverts state ... nothing works better than ... their product.

if thats the case you would be better off using nothing

God I loved the ads!! you can go way back to the 1800's where they had cure all's and brain tonics that were nothing more than alcohol and opium..got to be smarter than the marketers....

I saw one for an Opium Tincture recently, but I can't find it. Here's another one from that site tho

Naw man i hate these ads too , everything today is ads and people are so stupid that they live by them more religiously than a bible koran or torah. Honestly ads are what people want to see they are supposed to appeal to the customer and what the customer wants to hear and see to purchase it, ads are so bad that they are borderlined to subliminal advertising using catchy phrases, tunes, appealing colors, women, sexual references, i mean whens the last time you bought a burger from a fast food restaruaunt that looked as good as the commercial advertised? it's all about the money.
I think humans need to accept that the truth is horrible and once they accept it they can finally choose whats really important to their life. oh yeah honestly i dont know how many other people see it but each time i watch a commercial or see an ad i can practically pinpoint what the advertisers are using in the scene to make the people want a product, like for example you see people always smiling when in reality they wouldn't be or in tv shows or some commercials they the actors perform something like there's no camera watching them or the fact they're on a setup it's kinda rediculous. I would rather trust a commercial that was just straight up.

I Thought You Were talkign about TRUTH the above the influence commercials....i havent seen one of those in a long time! lol
