is it really that hard dating someone who doesn't smoke? its just i'm a relationship with a girl who really despises smoking but she tends to let it go with me because she knows i enjoy it. on the other hand she throws it back in my face whenever we argue and calls it stupid and she uses my smoking as an excuse for her to do whatever she wants because it her way of having fun just like smoking is mine. for example recently we got into a fight cus i found out she was doing some modeling for one of those website like suicide girls or whatever showing off her body and whatnot and she says shes doing it because she likes to be naked and its fun just like smoking pot is fun for me. and i just dont see how thats equal in any way at all. i dont know maybe i should get into showing off my goods for ladies lol.

My now ex-boyfriend didn't smoke, a fact which definitely contributed to the breakup. It never got hostile between us, but it just kinda sucked to not be able to share this very enjoyable aspect of my life with him. You love someone, you want to smoke with them, you know??

Might just be a coincidence... but of all my friends, the ones who are in the best relationships are the ones who smoke with their significant others.

I'd be on the fence about this chick if I were you, too... plenty of cute, smart, stoner fish in the sea.

If it were me, I would be finding a new girl. Any girl showin off her goodies to other guys aint gonna be my girl. Just my opinion though.

No offense, but she sounds like a real immature bitch...and if she's over 18 she's retarded. Have you tried educating her on marijuana? And I don't mean just telling her it's cool, I mean actually spit some facts at her ass...if you can't properly defend your smoking and why you smoke to someone who is against it than you don't know enough and need to educate yourself on the subject if you're gonna choose to smoke pot regularly.

It's not so much that dating someone who doesn't smoke is hard...it's dating someone who's an idiot that is tough. Anyone with an open mind and common sense who listens to someone that knows their stuff on marijuana will see how harmless it truly is.

With my ex, She never smoked weed and always told me it was killing me. One day, I sat her down and said, "Either you smoke this with me, or you can leave now." She smoked it and said, "Now I see why you smoke *laugh laugh*". Good times.

That means she wasn't totally into you anyway....if she LOVED you she'd tolerate the smoking as long as you two made up some rules like "no toking when we're having a good time without it" or something like that.


Either way, you're free to smoke weed all you want now.

It doesn't sound like she is being terribly fair there. When fighting with somebody, especially your other half... you should never throw the past or habits back in their face. That is just not fair fighting... its shallow, and stupid. So its not fair for her to use the pot smoking against you.

Its fine of she doesn't smoke, of course it would be more fun and easier if she did... but if you love somebody, then you accept them completely and totally for who they are and what they do. She needs to realize that she can't change you, and can't throw it in your face.

If I were you, I would just sit down and have a serious conversation about it with her. Just lay it all out there, and say you like smoking, and it doesn't alter your feelings for her, and that you don't like that she uses it against you. Thats fair. Then she can tell you what she really wants.
That way you avoid all of the mind games and such by confronting everything.

I hope all works out for you, and you and your girl can settle the issue. Keep us posted on on how it turns out.

I was married for over 16 years to a fine lady who never toked...she hated the smell of it for whatever reason but would tolerate cig smoke (go figure). we'd most likely still be married if not for her untimely passing 8 years ago but that's another story...anyways, it's not the plant that controls our lives (or shouldn't be) and as long as whatever we do does not affect anyone else in a negative way then who the hell are we to judge what a person choses to use to enhance their lives...and that's exactly how she felt about cannabis and life in general so cannabis was never a problem for us...

i never pressure someone into smoking, or judge them for not smoking, so i expect them to do the same for me......

just be who you are and the right person will accept you and treat you the way you deserve to be treated (which DOESN'T EVER include being called stupid or being belittled in any way) hang in there, better things will come along :-)
