Dave Chappel... and heres why...

I met him x-mas night '06 at the Waffle House in Fairborn, Ohio... I ran into him..literally... I backed into his car. He's originally from Yellowsprings, which is right next door to Fairborn, so I guess he was just hanging out around home. He was totally by himself... it was close to midnight cause we just got done with the family, smoked a j and had the munchies bad. Of course the only thing open was Waffle House.
We were leaving... I backed around and Bam! I hit a car that had just pulled in. My husband got out and I was thinking damn don't need this, I'm still pretty stoned. The weather was miserable so i just stayed put... I could hear my hubby talking pretty loud... he's not the violent type, so I'm thinking???? Then he pulls the car door open and says "you will never guess who you hit" and I'm thinking..oh God, don't let it be a relative! ..... then... in leans this smiling face, beaming from under the hood of a parka... it's Dave Chappel! Oh man! I've always been a fan and had just recently seen him on the Actors Guild.
My stupid Ford didn't show a scratch... while his (expensive) small SUV has a badly dented fender. Of course, I wanted to give him the name & number of my insurance company (and no cops, please) ... he says unless there was damage to my car (which there was not) to just forget it. I really wanted to take care of it... I felt bad... but he insisted, said it would only make my rates go up and that I didn't need that. He is so nice... we talked for a few minutes... but it was like sleeting and windy... he went on in the restaurant and we left.
I know he was stoned, but I dout he thought we were stoners... an older white couple in a black Ford, dressed for a family Christmas outing... geeeze, I had to be so 'straight' (phony) around my family... anyway... there was no mention of cannabis. But I was thinking when I was leaving that I wished that I had a j on me (which I did not), that I would love to get baked with this guy!
Anyway.. it's a true story... and I would still like to smoke with Mr. Chappel. He's funny and talented... and I owe him one.
