So this bitch I was sort-of friends with, my boyfriend's best friend, posted this up on her Myspace. I thought I'd post it here to get some opinions, see if anyone agrees with mine.

and some young kid will probably sell you basil or real grass clippings
and you probably won't even know the fucking difference because you
will have no brain cells left and your nose will perpetually smell the scent of
weed and you won't be able to smell what that kid gives you and you will have just spent your last hundred on weed that was supposed to be for rent on
your shithole of a trailer home and that probably wasn't the first time you were
late on rent so you get kicked out and put on the street and none of your relatives want you at their house because of your bad habit and your kids (if
you had any at all) won't want you smoking around their kids
unless you smoked pot with your own kids and fucked their lives up too.

Whenever I tell you, as a friend, to stop smoking pot, that's what I picture happening to you.
You are all better than that and stronger than that.

And somewhere in those stubborn heads of yours, you know it too.
You don't need it to sleep, you don't need it to have a good time or to chill.
You don't need it, PERIOD.
Moderation in this aspect will never work, there is no middle ground.
This applies to all the drugs and drinking you all do.

I'm 51, i ran a sucessful company my whole adult life while smoking pot untill my heart troubles forced me to quit working. Pot never effected my life, job , family or friends in a negative way. I've been toking for 35 years.
I'm proof that she is wrong.

I don't know if that qualifies as ignorance. It seems to be more like someone who doesn't know and means well enough. The concern seems genuine though. Perhaps a bit too much hyperbole but well intentioned. If a lie is preached loud enough and long enough, it's believable to those who wouldn't do any research themselves. You shouldn't hate on people like this, it perpetuates their stereotype of us as cannabis users, being negative and clannish. You can't beat the truth into someone, they will resent it and you indefinitely. I think that just agreeing to disagree and having respect is the most important weapon, next to education, in this skirmish.

it def qualifies as ignorance imo i know people that say stuff like that and you could never tell them the truth and even if they saw it they probably wouldnt believe it. no matter what kind of information you can provide to them. i have encountered this with lots of other issues besides cannabis. and i have come to the conclusion that some people will never learn cause they dont want to.
I don't hate the 90 percent of people who are fooled by the organized government-sponsored demonization and criminalization of MJ. The indoctrination of lies starts early on through the "educational" system and is reinforced by the business community that requires MJ tests as conditions for employment ....
We're fighting a losing battle with little chance to change the world's ignorance, and their willingness to believe the lies .. It's frustrating, but you can't hate everyone ...

The world really is ignorant. The government will never win the so-called "War on Drugs" but I guess their anti-drug ads affected someone? Haha. And I agree with eezle. That person needs to smoke a fucking bowl! You should never act like you know everything about something, when you've never even experienced it for yourself.
i guess she'll be happy when shes sitting in a grey office wearing grey clothes in a grey city, while we're still smoking, still thinking, still having a wicked time.
