What people fail to realize is......the gas companies KNOW they can make a few billion a year if the gas was 1.50 per gallon anyway, the sad thing is, Americans drive everywhere and need gas all the time so why lower prices when gas guzzling hummer drivers need to get across town??
Don't buy from Exxon, they're the greediest of them all.

 I took my car in yesterday and gassed it up, it cost me $130. We pay per litre here, 91 Octane is $1.98.9 a litre, 96 Octane is $2.07.9 and diesel is $1.61 a litre.

Diesel being over 50 cents more than unleaded is crazy. Thats where we are getting screwed most because the shipping trucks use diesel so everything goes up. Diesel should not be that expensive, that's robbery..
Diesel is $4.70 at some places here because in Colo so many drive the Diesel trucks.. I got rid of my diesel 2 years ago cause diesel was sooo expensive, it was like $3 then, oh the good old days.. Unleaded 87 octane is $3.65, 89 is 3.80 and 91 $3.90, not as expensive as overseas, but outrageous by just what prices were 2 years ago...

I think Bush is doing his best for his cronies, not the American people as a whole.. I think that is a philosophy of the right in general.. The right is not concerned for the lower classes, healthcare, and it seems even education unfortuately.. They are for protecting the rich, making the rich richer, and not giving any of their money the help the less fortunate.. The attitude is "Fuck the poor, this is America, land of opportunity, they don't have to be poor, just work harder." (Tell that to the single mother with 2 kids, but hey she will get $1200, and when the left has to find a way to pay it back, the right will say, "see all the dems want to do is raise taxes").. I hate that attitude and it is what has pushed me farther left (that an the idiot thats been in office for 8 years)... They are willing to spend all this fuggin money on other countries, in aid and war and whatever, but this country at home is in serious trouble.. We are in a recession folks, spin it how you want, but the economy in this country is in trouble, and its not the left's fault.. Saying Dubya is doing his best is like saying the special ed kid did his best at special olympics, awesome for him, but not good enough for the pro's or even the normal world. And his being the most powerful job in the world, we don't need a special olympics person running the country...
PS- not a shot at special ed kids, I was a volunteer for special olympics for years and it was my major in College, but seemed like a proper comparison to me...

Where i am, the last time i looked, it is £1.12 per litre, which works out to roughly $2.20, which into gallons i dont know what but about $10, so you lot in the US cant moan, cos were getting fucked over. |
