Heartguy called me just a little while ago to let me know that his surgery went ok. He still sounded a little groggy but I'm guessing he is going to feel better. They put a stint in one artery and unblocked two other arteries. He said he will be able to go home tomarrow as long as he is doing well. Hooray!!!!! He also said it was ok for me to let people know how he is doing. CC

Awesome news. Hello all you "Stoners" I am glad to finally hear some news from Heart.
My dad has gone through those surgeries 2-3 times now. The technology allows folks to recover to an active lifestyle. At least in my Dad's case. Walk a mile, and drink a glass of wine a day. Thanks, lw

Hello all
Thanks classi for letting all my friends here know how i am doing.
i had 1 stent put in , it was a different type than the 15 i had before. This type is a Taxus Express Paclitaxel Eluting Stent , the ones i got before are Cordis Eluting Stents, The new one uses a different drug to prevent plaque build up. The dr is hoping the new ones will work better. one blockage was over 80% , that one was stented. The other 2 blockages, [one 99% blocked ] were opened by angioplasty [ ballon insertion] my last angio was in june so within 4 months i had to be opened up again. I woke up about half way through the procedure, the nurse was flipping out, saying he's awake, he's awake. i just kept still and quiet, the dr says oops, i just look at him and he laughs, he saw my eyes open and was joking with me. lol
Other than the cath insertion site pain and swelling i feel great. The best i've felt in months. Although ice on the groin area isn't a pleasant feeling, i'll take all this for no chest pain. Thank you all for you prayers, kind thoughts and good karma. I have a smile back on my face and am looking towards a bright future. In about 2 weeks i'll be at 100%, well atleast for me, lol.
Next i'm looking for a date, to try out this improved blood flow. lol

All the best from the UK heart, after having had a blocked artery taken out of my groin this yr ( an all the ice ) i really feel for you its taken me 6 months to walk without my stick an its not funny you take care man.
