OK I know I am a few hours ahead of you all but today is 9/11 here in NZ, let us not forget all of those people that lost their lives today back in 2001, and all the family's that have had to live with loosing a much loved member of their families.

My heart goes out to all effected by 9/11

My daughter was about to be born & I remember thinking how fucked up the whole thing was.Wondered what lies ahead for her in theses fucked up times & did we do the right thing by bringing her into it.
Anywho that shit lasted like a day then iremembered beeing on the ground as a stealth bomber snuck up on us in the desert.My next thought was George W. OMG why couldnt it be Walker Texas Ranger instead......Here we are now 6 years later moving on with life as normal.
I am more worried about a wild fire more then a terroriest attack. I dont know if that is bad or good just gonna keep on keeping on......

i would like to spark this bowl of jelly hash & a nag champa now in honor of all the live's that have been wasted since the first attack's on 9/11.Would also like to thank all the warriors out there following orders that most of us could or would not.....

That is always such a heavy day. Every year I think my grief is for the most part behind me. So far every year I’ve been wrong. I think what gets me the most is when I listen to media reports that they replay of that day because it brings me right back.

I was on vacation in Vermont with my husband (now ex-husband) and his family. It was early in the morning and I woke up with my daughter (she was eight months old at the time.) We went downstairs and I began to warm up her bottle and I sat her in front of something silly on the TV to keep her occupied while she waited. The boys had went out fishing so it was just me and her. I was finishing up a ciggy and shaking her bottle on the porch when I heard frantic voices on the TV. I though what the hell, I was sure she was watching cartoons when I left her. I went back in and they had broke into programming with a live report from NY. The first plane had already hit and they didn’t know what was going on. I remember watching live as the other plane hit. When the second plane hit I knew it was an attack. And then the pentagon…The hardest part was watching those towers fall and knowing that they contained thousands of people. I just remember sitting there with my hands over my mouth.

My husband was and is active duty military, he drove back to Delaware immediately leaving me and our daughter in Vermont because he thought it would be safer there. I remember a few days later when his father drove us back to Delaware and we were driving over the George Washing bridge in NY and we could still see the smoke coming from the site and seeing the gaping whole in the NY skyline.

Now the media won’t show the towers falling and the people jumping from the building wearing business suits. But when I hear news reports from that day it makes me remember them. I think a lot of people remember.
