i must be totally honest and confess that i did not cry...i did not feel nostalgic for the disco club, big hair, big shoulders, and thin ties...i did not feel sorry for a dick grabbing pedophile with self mutilation issues, who made a half billion dollars selling music but spent a billion dollars being weird
but i did feel sad, in a selfish way, that i would not see his new surprise dance move to be revealed on the world tour that was going to blow away the moonwalk

i was too shocked to be able to cry i just couldn't believe it, an icon of my childhood. i listened to his music watched his videos and was just in awe of his talent. he inspired me in so many ways with his moves and his sounds. i still cant believe he is gone, i admit i had kinda forgotten about him in recent years, but i know that he was a good man and he gave his heart and his soul to the world and that's what he should be remembered for.

My stoner boyfriend and I thought the exact same thing....the little boys around the world are breathing a collective sigh of relief.
Jackson was impressive and talented in his own way, but just not my cup of tea. I actually liked him better as part of the jackson five...at least that was old school motown beat.
I cried when Kurt Kobain died. I would cry if Bono, Michael Stipe, or Dave Mathews were to go. But Jackson? Not.

im not afraid to say i loved his music and what it brought to growing up and the soundtrack to life. there are only a a few songs more epic than Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean, and the list goes on and on. noone made music like he did.
its weird. it feels like a small part of most of us enjoyed our evolution in life and growing up somewhere along the line because of him. yet he stood so concerned about losing his childhood. i wish he could have seen how much he shared in people growing up and what he brought to the table of life.
the sum of a mans life is not always the parts. noone saw a rise and fall like MJ.
Billie Jean might be my favorite song of all time now. Weird how someone like MJ and his status dying, how it affects people.
I def rocked out a few albums the past few days. First time in years.

Naaaaaaaaaaa. I didn't cry. Funny thing is I was visiting my parents and we were talking about Farrah, Ed McMahon and my mother said "That's two. Celebrity deaths come in threes."
I asked "What about David Carradine?"
"Ahhhhhh then we shouldn't expect another for a while then."
Literally 10 minutes later the local tv channel's news came with the 'startling' report of MJ's death. At that time it hadn't been 100% verified by a hospital press conference/announcement, but TMZ was the source.
