i myself do not smoke, but my best friend does. after every time he smokes, he has me check his breath. some time after i start to feel weird. it isnt a "movie theater-like/shuttery" feeling like everyone says a high is like. i just feel kind of strange and everything is drastically funnier. is this in my head or real? has this ever happened to anyone?

Best thing to do is smoke and see if its the same feeling

if you don't want 2 smoke, vaporize, its healthier and feels like air, no smoke involved
oh and it gets you really high

yeah dood thats your psychological state of mind telling you your high and making you feel how you think a high might feel, and everything being funny, when you're around stoned people doing dumb/funny/ridiculous things that atmosphere will spread to you as well picking up your spirits. You should at least try it with an experienced smoker and someone who is really entertaining when you're high. also depending if you like being active or chilled out.

I seriously doubt you'd get high from the smell of your friend's breath. Maybe if he was giving you a shotgun hit you'd get high.

Sounds to me like you may be getting a slight high off of the smoke if everything is funnier.
