Exclamation plants need help....

ok people im relying on your advice for this one....
i have 2 plants on the go in veg state.
they got a bit stunted at the start and i thought i was gonna lose them but then i moved them outta soil and into 2 vermiculite/perlite buckets and they had a new lease of life.
they have really started to bush out and they are starting 4/5 new sets of leaves a day. the problem is they are'nt gaining any height.
If i take my lights a good way up do you think this will make them try and stretch for the light? or do you think its just too late and they will stay dwarfed?

What strain?
How long have they been in the hempy buckets?
Once the roots hit the reservoir they'll take off. Generally speaking Indicas are short, sativas are tall. I say generally becuase different phenos within the same strain will grow differently.
Different sativas will grow tall at different times.

Re: plants need help....

hey pig, theyve been in about 4 weeks now.
one is northern lights and the other is called super high....both from dr.ray
they have now started to yellow a bit at the edge at the top of the plant...
think ive overdone it with the nutes?
i just poured about 2 L of plain water through them this mornin to try and flush a bit and im prayin theyre not yellowing down to overwatering....

Re: plants need help....

if they are bushy but still small wots the problem more side branches = more bud.
i always keep my plants small no more than 4ft high but i on average between 250 to 350 grms per plant.
i use the same style as jack herera

Re: plants need help....

flush them out like you are doing then jus use half feed for first 2 wks this should bring them out again.
dnt worry they are very hardy plnts and wen they bud you should have sme serious rasin glands coverin those glistening nugs

Re: plants need help....

finally sussed out what the problem was....
my hydrometer was way out of calibration and it was reading 82 f when in actual fact the grow room was 98 f.
the reason my plant were sprouting so many new leaves was to try and get more surface area to dissipate the heat so it wouldnt dry out.
im really surprised there is still living plants.
i bought a new hydrometer and 2 days after correcting the temp it has grown nearly 4 inches in height and the branches are starting to stretch properly.
i also bought one of those food probes which are really cheap as a back up confirmation of temps in the future.
hope this info is of help to some other newbie growers out there...
