yes I read the FAQ's and didnt find the answer to my first one.

the lower level (mostly) or largest leaves (rarely) get yellow spots and dry out, otherwise plants are healthy. What should I do?

Second, I heard that clones were weaker, is this true?

third, sorry this is probably in the FAQ's somewhere, when do I switch fertilizer and lighting? The fert has a "transition" week in its intructions, is that a 12/12 week or a 18/6 week? I assume I switch to red lighting at the same time I switch to 12 and 12?

Can oxygen be an issue? What size bubbler per plants and/or size of reservoir?

I have a small cpu type system, 4 plants in a small space.

When flowerin',main fan leaves turn yellow from the lack of Nitrogen...No biggie,they're doin' their job...

It depends where you got the clone from...Lotsa clones are afew steps from the holy grail,lol!!!(California Dreamin')...

This is something you have to figure out for yourself depending on what you're feeding your plants but as an example-

I switch to GH Bloom 5-15-14 right before I flip...I use this until flowering becomes apparent...I then switch to Jack's Classic 10-30-20...I flush often and sometimes I'll use KoolBloom 2-45-28 instead of the Jack's late in flowering...I also use a bud enhancer and a bud finisher...I cut off all nutes 2 weeks before harvest...

I know nothing of hydro but an adequate intake and outtake in a properly synthesized growing environment will help plants to "be happy"...

DOes that mean I should be flowering now? I am still vegging, they are about 5 weeks.

That's an impossible question to answer without knowing more about the grow such as-
1.strain

2.room and height in the grow area

3.Size of pots you'll be flowerin' in and will you be transplanting before you flower???

4.What lighting will be used???

i have some "red" spectrum bulbs to put in, they are 120v 60hz 23w 0.380A

right now they are under "blue" which are two 0.390A and one is like 0.420 or something.

Is it safe to post about this stuff here?

2. I assume you cant have too much oxygen/bubbling going on? I also assume this should be run 24/7.

3. where should the water level be? my gals are in rockwool. I keep it just under the baskets and they seem pleased.

so the guy at HTG supply said they probably want some fresh water and to cut off the sick leaves, so thats what I did.

I cut back to 1/4 strength nutes and cut off probably 10 large leaves.

i'm scared now.

I'd be of more use to ya if you were an organic grower...You're not using much light so it's important to remember not to overfeed as the plants won't be able to use it...

Foliar feeding can be very productive...Try and do it a little while before the lights come on without freakin' out the plants or getting your lights wet...

I know nothing of bubblers so I don't know what to tell you about leavin' the system bubbling 24/7...I do know that cannabis does not take in nutrients during "lights out"...

How does one who's growing with hydroponics correct an overfeeding issue???Do you just run em with plain water for two or three days???
A "dirt" grower can correct overfeeding in a couple of ways...One is to leach the soil or medium...This involves putting the pots in the bathtub and running 2 gallons of plain water through the pots for every gallon of soil/medium that's being used...The other is flushing the soil which is just watering as usual with plain water...On the third day of a three day flush,products such as FinalFlush or FinalPhase can be used with success...

Assuming it was an overfeeding issue that caused your fans to whither,I'd let them recover a bit before flippin' em...As I said,you don't seem to be using much light...A little Low Stress Training(LST) might be in order if they get too tall,(if the system and style of your grow allows you to do this)...

That's up to you man...I would hope you're safe in posting...You don't come off as a cash cropper to me...

There's no such thing as a dumb grow question except for the one that wasn't asked...I didn't wanna leave you hangin'...I'm just sorry that I'm not of more help...There's so many styles of growing...There's also alot of "EGOS" out there who are convinced they're "gods gift to cannabis growing" and that their style is the best possible way to do it,lol!!!
I'd put the above questions into the hydro section...I'm sure you're gonna find your way man and I wish ya good luck...

grew white widow a couple of years ago in a dwc(5 gal bucket) I always kept the water level at about 50%-70% full to allow roots to recieve plenty of oxygen.in a 5 gal bucket I would induce flower after 6 to 8 weeks veg,depending on how much room you have under the light.mine grew to 5 feet plus bucket/roots, so i learned to bend and train unruly plants, as i am opposed to pruning after flower
