Not the Greatful Dead....
Can you dead head weed like you dead head other flowers?
I have an Associates in horticulture but they
did not teach us about how to grow weed.

It is pulling the flowers when they die and tricking the plant into thinking that it has not flowered so that they think that they need to bloom again. This is how I keep my flowers in bloom all summer. In effect, I am looking for a continual harvest.

Once harvested you would need to put the plant back into veg to get more growth going then flower again, taking clones while and vegging them while others are in flower is a much better way to keep a continual supply IMO.

I would not find that to be a problem. I have limited space and only one bubbler. I do not have two closed off
areas anyway. And I can hardly keep the one that I have going with my back.
Thanks for the comments.

I have another question. How many flowerings can you get until you have to cut the poor old ladies down. I know that my Salvia would bloom forever if I didn't live
up north. I flower them from spring through fall till the first frost. The more that I deadhead the more flush with flowers they get. The same goes for my Roses.
I also would like to know what would be wrong if you had a male and female plant of the same genotype and kept them together for seeds? Does it ruin the buds THC levels?
Thanks in advance.

I believe many Thai varieties are this way, flowering for many months, with buds ripening constantly. Unfortunately, many Thai varieties also are hermaphroditic. Usually it will be the lower parts of buds that ripen and the tips of the buds will continue to grow and produce longer, thinner buds. I think I read the Flo from Dutch Passion has some characteristics like this. It also is supposed to be a "motivational" high--you want to get up and do things AND you are ripped. Always sounded good to me....

Stoner Buck$$: 389.92 | Re: Dead Heading When you chop a plant and re-veg it (turn light back on to 18-24hrs/day), it gets really, really bushy. This may sound good initially, but it really is not. There are just too many branches sprouting everywhere, all the time, to make it easy to get a good harvest. Oh, and trimming the buds of a 2nd harvest is extremely shitty. They are leafy as hell. Avoid dealing with revegging plants. They are just a pain in the ass.

revegging and flowering a plant is also what can cause hermies. I'd suggest to just take clones. 30 days from clone you can start to flower. Be about the same time period as if you had to go through reveg and reflowering stages

Thanks guys. I should have mentioned that I am growing my first crop and that I am doing it in a hydrophhonic bubbler.
I will try to clone but I don't know how I will maintain a 24/7 light cycle for cloning when I have my blooming 2 plants on a 12/12.

Some strains when cloned only require a few days to a weeks veg.Remember the clone is the same age as mum and can be flowered sucessfully within a week or two.
All the best.

can you do 2 seperate areas?
1 for flower, 1 for veg, best way to do it
i'd say clones are the way to go,
deadheading is mostly for flowers, like marigolds, keeps em healthy
good luck
