I'm pretty new to growing and the vegetative cycles are kinda confusing me. ive seen you can put them in a couple different hour cycles like 18/6 or 22/2 and i dont know where to start.

im going to be growing white widow clones in an indoor hydro system. i was looking at using LED UFOs to save some energy.

any advise would be appreciated

You can really veg as long as you'd like. Probably wouldn't want to flower unless you had at least a couple sets of serrated leaves. Check out the link in my signature, it will really help you out.

so basically until it gets to the point where i cant fit anymore under the light?
do you think LEDs will change anything or cause any problems?

Not sure about the L.E.D's. I do know that most plants double or more in size during flower, so you'll want to keep that in mind. Another great resource for growing info is Marijuana Growing Guide Free Library check that out too.
